[The video feed flickers to life, and despite the commotion, it's very much intentional. For those of you who know Riptide, you can see him frantically trying to escape from two hands that about as big as he is. Finally, one hand seizes Riptide and slams him to the floor. With some stability now, the camera is able to focus on Ultra Magnus. For those of you who don't know him, prepare to be bored. For those of you who do know him, it's possible that he's much much bigger than you remember, having had a few necessary upgrades recently.]

[He clears his vocalizer.]

Attention to all those who receive this broadcast. My name is Ultra Magnus. I have recently come aboard this ship and have been given the position of bailiff and parole officer. Let it be known that I have served as an officer of the law prior to my enlistment aboard the Moira, and as such, I promise that I will treat my duties and responsibilities with the utmost care, respect, and diligence that is befitting the position. I am fair and even-handed, and I look forward to working with all of you and becoming a productive member of the community.

That said, I have in my custody the one known as Riptide. He is a former comrade of mine, who served aboard the same ship as I did. Some of you may know him, and I am obligated to inform you that trusting this individual is a huge mistake. He is, as of now, being apprehended for being an accessory to mutiny.

[If Riptide wriggles, Magnus quickly presses his considerable weight down on him to make him stop.]

As I am still unfamiliar with the ship, I wish to know where the brig is located. I also wish to know everything about the due process aboard, as I intend to have this...this...ne'er-do-well answer for his crimes against his chain of command. In addition, if there are any forms and paperwork associated with the booking of prisoners so that they can be properly processed, I will more than happily fill out any and all necessary forms.

Again, I hope to make your acquaintance and let's all be sure to follow the new rules and expectations set forth by our current caregivers.

I take my work incredibly seriously. As for Riptide, I am inclined to agree with you on his work ethic. He doesn't have the processing capacity to incite a mutiny on his own, but he partook nonetheless.

[YYYEAH okay maybe Drift should have pulled Magnus aside sooner and explained the Riptide thing to him. It was on his to-do list. Didn't really matter at this point though, seeing as this was a thing that was happening now. As soon as Drift sees the broadcast, he's off to hunt Magnus and Riptide down. The good news is, Magnus being fucknormous makes him easier to spot. The bad news is Magnus being fucknormous makes him gigantic and terrifying. But hey. Once Drift arrives he's reeeally cautious when he approaches Magnus. Getting all pissed isn't going to help this matter any, so he's going to do the hippie thing and try to keep things as calm as possible.]

Ultra Magnus, he doesn't know what you're talking about. I talked to him earlier about this, the mutiny hasn't happened for him yet. He doesn't know anything about it.

[ Seeing Riptide being treated in this way has Elsa immediately worried. He's something of a friend, even if they've spoken only twice, and has been nothing but kind and friendly. This feels unnecessary and it's tempting to burst in with her own immediate concern--but she doesn't. She takes a few minutes to calm herself down, to settle into a more collected mindset before she makes her response.

Once she has, her video feed clicks on and she eyes the screen not without concern, but far more coolly. She's approaching this with rationality and an air of distance, yet with clear disapproval for Magnus' actions. ]

Mutiny? You must be referring to actions prior to his arrival here. I've heard nothing of a mutiny here, and while here, he should only be punished for the actions he's taken since arriving. Not for anything before.

[ It's an utter waste to lock people up for misgivings in their homeworlds, unless they should be repeated here. ]

I can't say that I'm familiar with much of what Riptide has done in his time on the Moira, but I don't believe for a moment that any of it deserves this sort of reaction or treatment.

That said, you should also learn the details of your new position before you act on what you think the guidelines for it might be.

Prior to my enlistment on the Moira, I was an Enforcer of the Tyrest Accord...a type of officer of the law among Cybertronians. I have come to understand that Riptide's actions have no bearing on whether the Moira can detain him, and I no intention of placing him under arrest in accordance with the Moira's laws.

However, he and I served aboard the same ship prior to coming here, and his actions have potentially lead to the deaths of both of our captains. While I cannot arrest him here, I am detaining him to bring him in front of my commanding officers so that he can explain himself.

Ultra Magnus, the relations between the Cybertronain and organic crew members aboard this ship are already strained, thanks to the alarmingly irresponsible situations your crew mates have caused in the past. I would think it in our best interests if you didn't publicly broadcast your infighting for all the ship to see. They already think we're dangerous enough without you throwing fuel on the fire.

Before you try to argue, I would like to remind you that I am the highest ranked Cybertronian aboard this ship, regardless of what badge you wear.

I have no plans to argue with you, Starscream. I am bringing Riptide along quietly to Rodimus and Megatron so that he may provide us with answers. There is no need to worry about this escalating further.

Ultra Magnus, I feel I must speak on Riptide’s behalf in this instance. While being party to a mutiny is cause for apprehension, I must argue that you postpone any punishment you would see done in this instance, at least until all facts are accounted for.

Need I remind you that we seem to have come from different times? Has he even lived through those events yet? I have not.

Mutinies take time and they take planning. While I cannot detain him, I am unconvinced that he knows nothing.

I want to bring him before Rodimus and Megatron. While no judgment can be passed, at the very least I want to know exactly how much he knows now.
