[Deep breaths. This is fine. This is all going to be fine. They can do this.]

[But if he broadens the search pool, the better the chances of this working out. As much as he hates to think about what he'd learned, as much as he wants to pretend it's all okay...]

[His voice is steady as ever, over the TAB. Despite the late hour.]

I'm looking for someone good with data extraction and compilation. Especially someone who can do that for alien or unfamiliar tech.

Maybe even translating unknown languages. I can't say for sure.

I'll take any help you can offer.

I've done this in the past, but it depends on how alien, for one thing.

Shiro?

Um. We met at a store a couple of weeks ago. I don't have nearly the capabilities that I used to but technology and myself go hand-in-hand. Alien technology especially.

I... might be able to help, if you need it. Let me know.

I have committed to extensive research with alien tech before. Tech I was familiar with and tech I was not.

I am less familiar with translating languages, but I am patient.

What are you offering in return?

[ Because Keith doesn't keep normal sleeping hours, he's awake to see this... and immediately concerned. ]

Shiro? ... Is this about what I think it's about?

Data extraction?

What are you working on?
a_perfect_end: The players tried for a forward pass. (procedural language)

Greetings!

...Quantify: alien.

[We're kinda. In outer space.]

I'm better with declarative or procedural taxonomy, but there's nothing that complex about the current object paradigm.

[Pause.]

...You meant spoken languages, didn't you.

Not to brag, but I'm a little bit of an expert.

What do you have?

[He's already had an influx of offers — from literally across the spectrum of her trust. Ask a syntactical question, get a bunch of bored techies looking for a challenge, even if they were racist misanthropes in their day-to-day.

But hey, finding and (accidentally) acquiring and compiling alien tech. That was in her wheelhouse]

You find something interesting?

I cannot be of any service, sadly, though I am interested in what such individual can provide the service you need! I become curious in that deciphering language foreign to us without a basis of comparison to reference would be quite the feat indeed!
