Hello everyone! My name is Rena. Rena Lanford. I’m sorry for interrupting, but I’d like to ask a few questions if you have the time to spare. It shouldn’t take too much of your time!

[She takes in a quick, deep breathe before continuing.]

First of all, is it possible to venture out of your official job position? Like assist in other sections? I mean I’d still do the job I was assigned foremost, but I feel like it’s such a waste to not use healing Symbology, you know?

Second, since people are from other worlds, does “magic” seem familiar to any of you? From what I read in stories it seems similar to Symbology so I’d like to compare them!

Lastly: is there any way to get any items from back home? I was sure I had my hairpin, but I seem to have misplaced it…

[And it was a gift from her mother so she’d really like that back.]

Well, Symbology is basically using symbols on your body to perform some amazing feats! --I think it's better to demonstrate than to explain so...

[Rena shuts her eyes as she begins to mumble a short incantation. The energy around her coalesces together to form a small energy ball, radiating light and heat as it floats idly in front of her. After a few seconds, she opens her eyes.]

Is your magic kind of like that?

[Assuming she is an elf herself, it doesn't change how Fenris behaves. He's never felt any particular kinship with his kind.]

No, although I cannot use magic myself.

[Small mercies. Magic is dangerous, and though he doesn't recognize Symbology, it must be similar in some way. He watches the display through the screen with narrowed, critical eyes.]

Are others capable of this?

[She supposes that since he's unable to use magic, you have to have a certain affinity to it like back in her world. She's unable to cast the elements, but light/dark/healing Symbology comes naturally to her.]

In my world, yeah! Some of my friends are reaaaallly strong Symbologists, I don't hold a candle to them if we were to battle with just Symbology.

[She pauses, furrowing her brow as she taps her chin idly.]

Though I guess it would be pretty unfair since my specialty is healing and support.

I'd be interested in finding out the answer to the job situation myself, because the job I was assigned? Not my idea of fun.

Also, it depends on what you define as magic. Some of it is scientific. The ship is slightly more familiar to me than others, I've found, but it is still far from what I know.
