[She’s definitely glad she went to Earth instead of staying in Arlia; there’s only so much you can do in a rural village and her stay on Earth has at least taught her how to use a communicator. Though some other technological inventions are still an anomaly to her, she’ll figure it out eventually.
When the feed turns on, a blue-haired girl with pointed ears is shown with a light-hearted smile. In the background, the lone tree in the garden can be seen.]
Hello everyone! My name is Rena. Rena Lanford. I’m sorry for interrupting, but I’d like to ask a few questions if you have the time to spare. It shouldn’t take too much of your time!
[She takes in a quick, deep breathe before continuing.]
First of all, is it possible to venture out of your official job position? Like assist in other sections? I mean I’d still do the job I was assigned foremost, but I feel like it’s such a waste to not use healing Symbology, you know?
Second, since people are from other worlds, does “magic” seem familiar to any of you? From what I read in stories it seems similar to Symbology so I’d like to compare them!
Lastly: is there any way to get any items from back home? I was sure I had my hairpin, but I seem to have misplaced it…
[And it was a gift from her mother so she’d really like that back.]
Anyway, I... believe that's it! Thank you for the time! And… sorry. I didn’t mean to talk so much.

Well, from what I remember, it's basically something that you can fight, but it's not... real? I guess it's similar to a dummy, but it can move around and attack so I don't think you have to worry about setting it on fire?
Re: [VIDEO]
[He's grinning. And also joking.]
[...Maybe.]
[And she assumes there would be a counter-measurement system that extinguishes the fires there??]
Re: [VIDEO]
How are you planning to do the running one though?
[Since she doubts he knows how to use a treadmill and is kind of curious to see what his plans were.]
Re: [VIDEO]
[She imagines that running exercise alone takes an hour on top of the other things he has to do.]
Did you do that amount of exercise back in your world?
Re: [VIDEO]

Re: [VIDEO]
Well, not really. Not since my dad died. It's a village of fishermen and tradesmen, mostly.
I'm sorry... Your father must have been a great warrior. Did the King not send any aid to your town?
Re: [VIDEO]
As for the King, to be honest, there's a troop shortage. With monster attacks on the rise throughout the world, he hasn't really had a lot of soldiers to spare. A lot of towns have fallen back on using the townsfolk as a sort of militia from what I've been hearing.
Plus, with some of the border disputes happening to our west, a lot of our army is tied up out there. But, there hasn't been a monster I haven't been able to handle yet!
[There's a short pause as she processes everything. A sudden insurgence of monsters sounds like the Sorcery Globe back where she's from!]
Woah, you must be really strong then! Was there a reason why monsters are suddenly appearing though?
Re: [VIDEO]
[He shrugs.]
I'm lucky to have been taken in by our town's blacksmith. If it weren't for him, I don't know where I'd be.
As for how strong I am? Well, not to brag...but I'm no slouch. As for why the monsters were appearing...
[He kind of laughs nervously.]
It's a long story, and I don't even know how much of it is actually true, or just legend, lore, and folktales. I wouldn't want to bore you with something like that...
[VIDEO] this is so late sorry orz
He sounds like a great person! I wish I could meet him; maybe I could even try my hand at blacksmithing!
[Since she usually let Claude or Dias handle all the metalworking when they were traveling.
--And was that a mention of something about legends or folklore cause that is her JAM.]
Oh, no, don't worry about if it would bore me or not! I love listening to other world's legends!
Re: [VIDEO] NO WORRIES, sorry about the TL;DR
The legend starts with the creation of my world, Anmaral.
See, the forces of Light, the Celestials, and the forces of Darkness, the Archfiends, have been at war with one another since the dawn of time. For millions and millions of years, they fought each other to a stalemate. With no end in sight, the seven most powerful Celestials and the seven most powerful Archfiends met in conference.
In order to decide the outcome of their war, they created Anmaral. Then they created humanity and all of the other races and species on the planet. Now, the conditions for victory in this war were changed: Humanity would be given five thousand years. If, in that time, we wiped each other out with constant in-fighting, then the Archfiends would lay claim to Anmaral and all of the realms. If we managed to not murder each other after five thousand years, the Celestials would be the victors, and the worlds and the realms would go to them.
With humanity created and the rules agreed upon, the Celestials and the Archfiends left. Legend says that where they left our realm, two moons were created; a red one and a white one.
Now, fast forward four thousand, nine hundred ninety nine years later. The world is in a tizzy because apparently recorded history only goes back that far, and it seems like the five thousand year time limit is about to run out. That, and for the first time ever, both moons are going to eclipse one another, forming what a lot of really nervous zealots are calling 'The Demon's Eye.' People think that when the eclipse happens, that's when the hourglass runs out, and it'll be the end of the world.
[Darin rubs the back of his head. He tries to not let on that he has some firsthand knowledge that most of this is true.]
Over the last few years, monsters have been appearing more and more frequently. People think it's the Archfiends' work, trying to weed us out, raise tensions, make our nations build standing armies to fend off the monsters in hopes someone uses that army to start a war. Then, of course, there's the prophecy that the church has been spreading for about a hundred years now...
