[She’s definitely glad she went to Earth instead of staying in Arlia; there’s only so much you can do in a rural village and her stay on Earth has at least taught her how to use a communicator. Though some other technological inventions are still an anomaly to her, she’ll figure it out eventually.

Hello everyone! My name is Rena. Rena Lanford. I’m sorry for interrupting, but I’d like to ask a few questions if you have the time to spare. It shouldn’t take too much of your time!

[She takes in a quick, deep breathe before continuing.]

First of all, is it possible to venture out of your official job position? Like assist in other sections? I mean I’d still do the job I was assigned foremost, but I feel like it’s such a waste to not use healing Symbology, you know?

Second, since people are from other worlds, does “magic” seem familiar to any of you? From what I read in stories it seems similar to Symbology so I’d like to compare them!

Lastly: is there any way to get any items from back home? I was sure I had my hairpin, but I seem to have misplaced it…

[And it was a gift from her mother so she’d really like that back.]

O-Oh, don't worry about it! All I do is schedule the cleaning services so, really, it's no big deal!

But I guess that means I'll probably see you around every now and then? --That is if I don't go through with a job change.

Well hey...don't let the job be the only reason. Since we're both new, why not stick together when getting the lay of the land, so to speak?

It's not like I'll be spending all of my time at the Ingress. I want to explore this place too. It's bigger than any city I've ever been to!

I've been exploring little by little, drawing my own maps and taking notes as I go.

You do know that the thing on our wrist have a map, right--? Unless you're just doing that for fun?

For fun, mostly.

I like sketching, and it helps me memorize things. In case of an emergency, I'd rather be helping people, rather than staring at my wrist as I run around trying to figure out where I am.

Oh, that's actually a good idea! I'm sure you'd be used to the Moira by the time an actual emergency happens though.

[Gotta knock on that wood wherever it is.]

What else do you like to sketch?

Well, I like to be prepared.

[That's a lie. He's almost never prepared, he's just showing off.]

Anything that interests me. Ideas that pop into my head. Weapon and armor designs mostly. I'd sketch the ocean back home too.

Lately, I've been filling pages with notes and drawings of all the new stuff I'm experiencing around here. It's crazy, I'm already on my third notebook!

By the way, I forgot to ask earlier, but--what did you find fascinating about the ship? I was planning to roam around later.

Well, the Observation Deck has really caught my attention. I've been spending a lot of time there just...observing.

[He laughs at that.]

There's apparently a lounge of some kind and an exercise area which I plan on checking out. There isn't a lot of room in my quarters for my daily workout regimen, so I want to make use of their facilities.

[She laughs at his joke before looking down to jot down some notes on locations in a journal.]

I remember reading about those in the message that was given when we first arrived. Though wouldn't it be better to go to the simulation room instead of that to workout?

...I don't know what that is, and I'm afraid if I try and work out in there I may set it on fire.

[Oh, right, she forgot that he came from a world similar to Arlia so he wouldn't know about them.]

Well, from what I remember, it's basically something that you can fight, but it's not... real? I guess it's similar to a dummy, but it can move around and attack so I don't think you have to worry about setting it on fire?

...Every fiber of my being wants to take that as a challenge.

[He's grinning. And also joking.]

I have to admit it would be pretty amazing if you did that considering you don't wield fire magic.

[And she assumes there would be a counter-measurement system that extinguishes the fires there??]

Truth be told, though, I don't know how comfortable I'd feel inside some kind of simulation. I usually work out the old-fashioned way: running, push ups, lifting weights, things like that. I think that would better suit me.

I don't blame you! It can be strange at first going into one, but it's pretty helpful.

How are you planning to do the running one though?

[Since she doubts he knows how to use a treadmill and is kind of curious to see what his plans were.]

I figure a couple of laps around the decks. I was considering the entire ship but I can probably work my way up to that after I've mapped the whole place out.
