[ This face isn't one that has been seen over the network before. Or rather, not this version of this face. Snake has a facial structure that's nearly identical to Liquid, though their hair colors are different. He also resembles Big Boss, but he's younger and has both of his eyes.

Despite the fact that this is his first time doing this, Snake doesn't bother introducing himself. There's no preamble at all, really. He's not that diplomatic of a person on a good day, and right now he's pissed. ]

I just got out of cryo. [ He's broadcasting from his room, and despite how disoriented his awakening was, he's got a fresh uniform on and comes across as relatively put-together, save for that undercurrent of anger. ] How long was I out? What did I miss?

I know other people have been through the same thing. Did you ever have any side effects after the fact? [ He hasn't heard of such a thing, but being unconscious for any length of time is enough to make a guy paranoid. His expression is harsh and determined as he addresses the MID's camera. ] I think if the captains are going to put us in cold storage without our permission, they need to explain why.

[ With that, the feed cuts. ]

I can't answer your questions about duration. However, it might be interesting to try to see if patterns can be established about cryo: who, when, for how long. I'm assuming you weren't injured, that you're aware of?

[ They only spoke once, but Snake recognizes Ryuuzaki's voice all the same. As a spy, that sort of attention to detail is necessary. ]

I don't feel any different, but it wouldn't be the first time I was infected with something against my will and didn't find out about it until later.

[ So it's a particular sore spot, hence the anger. ]

Not sure how many people will answer my questions, but I can try to gather some more intel on the process depending.

That data will always be anecdotal in nature, but it's not useless.

You asked about side effects. Have you experienced any?

[ Granted, that's most people, but Snake has a hunch here. There had been a certain sharpness to Ryuuzaki's baggy eyes when they'd spoken in that museum. ]

Nothing yet, but that doesn't mean anything.

Any other sort of person should probably reexamine their priorities.

Although... I suppose there might be such a thing as too much information, but I wouldn't describe a complete data set addressing a given topic that way. It's more that they can be very hard to get.

Haven't seen you up and about for a couple of weeks. I'm not really all that surprised about the lack of information. They probably didn't find that important.

[ Snake takes a few seconds to let it sink in that Liquid's seated in a plastic chair like it's a throne. Does he even want to know?

No, he doesn't. And he also didn't want Liquid to be one of the first people he spoke to after waiting up. Despite all the time spent unconscious, suddenly Snake looks very much like he needs a long nap. ]

Yeah, it's pretty much their M.O. to tell us as little as possible. [ At this rate he might message one of them directly.

A couple weeks, though. That's not so bad. Assuming that Liquid is telling the truth, though it's not like they'd kept in the closest contact anyway. Someone like Niko will give him a straight answer. ]

Anyway, joke all you want, but it won't be so funny if it happens to you. [ In fact, Snake has seen Liquid's body in cold storage before, though at that point it had been very much dead. ]

Of course! So easy to keep the masses compliant if they know nothing.

[ Liquid's sarcasm might have been appreciated if it had been literally anyone else saying it (save for Ocelot), but as things stand Snake only rolls his eyes.

This conversation isn't of much use to him if all Liquid wants to do is have a laugh at his expense. ]

Cryo happened a lot on my old ship too. I just assumed being in a different universe made your head sort of funny. Like ah.... low blood pressure I guess. I have no clue.

Although assumptions won't get them far, and Snake's mouth twists to one side as he processes that answer. ]

I'm not so sure about that. If it were something that simple, they would just tell us upfront that's what it was about. And not everyone seems to end up in cryo, just a select few.

[ No need to take it out on Niko, though. Snake draws in a breath, lets it out again. ] How long was I out?

For over two weeks, man. [He can tell he's pissed off. He would be, too.] My former roommate went into cryo, right before I moved out.

Not sure what there is to talk about on my end. [ Not when the last couple weeks had been a big bunch of nothing for him. If he dreamed during that time, he sure as hell doesn't remember it -- and that's probably a good thing. ]

I could do with a catch-up, though. [ A lot could happen on this ship in that amount of time. Snake doesn't even know where they are now, if they're in orbit above another planet or just moving to their next destination. ]

Yep. [ No, Snake is not happy about it at all. The way he figures, there had definitely been a reason for it, he just has no idea what it is.

Bucky seems uncharacteristically subdued. Worried, even. Not for him, Snake imagines. They barely know each other. ] I don't feel different right now. A little groggy, but that's it. [ And that's understandable given the circumstances. ] But that doesn't mean that something won't crop up later.

[ Between his faulty genes and FOXDIE, Snake isn't going to take any more chances with assuming that things are okay. ]

Did no one know you were in cryo? Someone had to be checking in every once in awhile right?

Yeah, a few people knew.

[ Two or three, maybe. Snake isn't the type to make himself readily available to people anyway. He's not that concerned about friends right now. ]
