[text] For general discussion (forward-dated a little)
A few questions:
What do you wish you had been told when you were new to the Moira?
Relatedly, what do you think it's important for people who are new to the ship to know?
Any answer you can think of is a valid one, although responses from people who have been here longer than most are especially welcome.

[Yet, being helpful to new crew was good, right?]
be ready to share your space. if you're not new to egg-shaped bunks, get used to them.
[yeah, the bed and the space. that's all he can think of right now.]

Also: egg-shaped bunks?
no subject
[Was it really that long now? Snake could hardly believe it.]
Yeah. The beds we sleep in. Sort of egg-shaped.]
no subject
But not in the same bed, so to speak. Mine isn't egg-shaped. Have you seen any of the other rooms on your deck?
[This is accompanied by a very brief video shot of a single neatly-made bunk which isn't remotely ovoid.]

the second one depends really
like im very used to beeing in space but what if some1 who has never left theyre planet sudenly finds themself up here?
it would b scary
no subject
For example, the ship seems big to me. Likewise, it would probably be more alarming for someone who had never left their planet and was unaware that it was even possible to leave their planet.

so do u mean like

[Actually, he would have liked a complete history of the ship and its exploits up until this point, and a dossier on every person present here complete with threat assessment. But failing that: bathroom locations.]
no subject
I can't disagree with you. The planets don't always come with those sort of instructions, either. I anticipate ongoing culture clashes.
[This dossier will come into being if it kills him, which it very well might... one way or another.]
no subject
It's not just the planets, we get plenty of culture clashes happening on the ship, too. I guess that'd be an important thing for new people to know. That others on the ship are from all over, from places and cultures that might be super different from your own, so don't make assumptions or be quick to pass judgement.
no subject
Somehow I think the people who are quick to judge will remain so whether or not they're advised to try another approach. It isn't usually a rational process.
The foods might be different -- that's another consideration. Others might just find it improbably abundant.

I feel it is very important due to all of are working together. We are a team until we all arrive to our varied homes. More information can never hurt to bring us all together.
Also, hello my friend. How are you? ]:)?
[voice]
[He sounds pleased to be speaking to her... but he holds off on asking her how she's been, because it doesn't yet tie in to what she's said, and her recent activities are a tangent he plans to address in a bit.]
Do you think it's possible that the captains are also unfamiliar with these places we're visiting, or at least unfamiliar with current conditions there?
[voice]
I would strongly wager the captains don't do enough or do no research on various places we approach. Finding out what the local social climate is would be a great benefit for us as a whole. We are strangers approaching a planet that couldor be having difficulties that our presence could only make that much worse.
It is akin to how they seem to know very little about us when we are pulled to the ship. Ingress is unpredictable yes, but asking new arrivals of their home would provide more help to possibly avoid in fighting, though that is another topic entirely.

I've been eating well. In fact, I have something for you.

the second thing though, they should probably know that there are people here with a lot of weird powers. and also aliens and stuff. you know, so they don't freak out or something.
actually yeah, i wish i knew that when i first came here.

Are you used to it now?
no subject
i guess i'm used to the idea of it. but i still see things that shock me sometimes.

text.
[Yep. That's it.]

Is there anything you like about the ship?
no subject
Maybe. If they ever stop landing on the most trashy, backwards planets around or sticking their noses in everyone else's business.
Sure, there's things, but who doesn't like having a place to stay and food in their belly? If the rest of it weren't such garbage, then I might even be able to swallow it.
