[Peter's head tilts to the side and for a moment his expression's a bit more serious - just for a flicker of a second as his eyes narrow at her question. Like he doesn't quite understand the question even though he heard the words, with his smile still frozen on his face.]

About... Home? The last thing, that sort of thing? [He powers through confusion with a sidelong glance at something nearby, like breaking 'eye contact' will do much to disguise it.] I was chilling at the mansion.

Now I'm here. Kinda weird jump.

[ She watches him for any actual recognition at what she's referring to and when she gets that answer she feels the need to push some. ]

Cairo? [He answers, glancing back to the screen with no apparent recollection - but an earnest look as if he's trying to answer this the way... she wants him to?]

[ She leans back from the screen a little and then turns her communicator away, facing someone wall in her room so Peter doesn't see her rub a hand down her face, tired and frustrated and... something else altogether. He doesn't remember being taken before.

He doesn't remember the Moira or how it crashed (twice), doesn't remember living on Kauto. Fuck. ]

[Okay. He gives a long pause, waiting to see if she says anything - or if he missed something.]

[ She forces it all down, has to keep it together. It's for the best, considering all the shit that happened. She gives a nod to herself and moves the camera back to her, ]

Sorry. I just--I haven't been back home for a long time.

[Peter may coast through life with a joke in his back pocket and a stupid smile on his face more often than not, but he isn't super oblivious to hints that something might be amiss. But there's a whole slew of things going on right now that have rocked the foundation of the world as he once knew it, including a messy jolt so far as how timelines might play out.

It's not something he's got a great grasp on yet nor will it likely sink in all that fast because it's hard to comprehend things not being as you last remember them. Where she and everyone else were at the mansion with him what really only feels like hours ago. Less than twenty four?]

[ She shrugs a shoulder, ]

[ She doesn't care what anyone says Nate, she's counting that fucking year they spent on that planet. ]

[Peter's quiet a second, obviously doing some thinking but he wraps it up quickly be doing what he does best - trying to breeze on by with a touch of lighthearted humor.

He whistles, raising his brows.] Okay. Shit, that's a little weird but okay.

[He walked right into that one, didn't he? Peter scrunches up his nose in response before making a show of looking inside his jacket pocket. He pulls out a handful of gum wrappers.]

Honestly, your loss here. These things are worth their - no our weight in gold. In a cold expanse of space where nobody knows what the hell Tab is, they're a brilliant shining beacon to take us back to the familiarity of home.

[He pulls the pack out of his side pocket, showing them off to the camera; not smushed, surprisingly.] But if you're suuuure.

I know what Tab is and it sucks.

[ But he does have a point. And seeing the cupcakes not smushed is so tempting.... Anything is after those stupid cubes. ]

Are they even- [He echoes in a high pitched voice, face screwed up like she just insulted his mother.]

[ Jean has to cover her mouth when he starts with the high pitched voice, shoulders shaking from laughter and looking away from the camera as she does so.

Even when she can manage to speak, she's still struggling not to laugh, ]

I have a deep and artistic soul. [But his lip quirks up a little, despite attempts to keep it from showing.]
