anyone here good with universe travel tech/magic? can be something from your world, not just the ingress

i have a device that's supposed to do universe travel but that part hasn't been working right since i got here over a year ago

it's a handheld device used to filter other kinds of magic and then my school's scientists added a feature based on this other country's tech that manipulates time/space magic to let you go to and from different universes

There's the alternate kind, as in different realities/universes, there's probably planetary kind...

Yeah, that makes sense. I don't know much about it...just realized when I got here that there isn't just one universe...but I'm extremely curious about it.
