i have a device that's supposed to do universe travel but that part hasn't been working right since i got here over a year ago

[He's been meaning to find someone to fix it after his day one attempts failed, but. Life happened.]

patchricide: (And therefore of course the universe)

Not like that. Immediately between two different parts of the universe, no matter how far apart they are.

They're stories about ships ending up somewhere they were never supposed to. And when you can travel anywhere in the universe, I'm sure you can imagine what that means. Other dimensions, or through time.

That's about right, yes. And unlike from what I've seen of the Ingress, we have control over it.

[And then, a moment later...]

Definitely the latter, maybe the former.

We hit a wormhole right before I found myself here, and I can't help but think it caused this, somehow.

Where were you trying to return home from?

Even from other universes? That might be larger than any spell I've ever heard of.

[On the plus side, she's comfortable with the idea of magic and spells, unlike some other alien princesses.]

How was something like that cast in the first place?
patchricide: (How very dare you!)

[personal profile] patchricide 2017-02-11 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
That's definitely larger AND more absurd than any spell I've heard of!

Why would someone want to do that?

I had no idea time and space worked like that.

[AND UH. SHE STILL HAS A FEW DOUBTS. BUT HEY, MAGIC??]

What did she want to change so desperately?

So she never shared her story?

I can't help but feel that at a certain point, everyone else has a right to know.

I suppose that is a little more important.

So, where were you from, before you started travelling from universe to universe?

I'm only familiar with the planet. And then, only what my friends have told me about it.

What do you mean by "1990"?
[Time doesn't occur to her, since she hasn't managed to wrap her head around the timeline crisscrossing yet. Other things jump to mind -- where in the universe it's located, for example, but the number doesn't sound familiar on any coordination system she's familiar with.]

The planet Altea. It's far from Earth, far enough that only a wormhole could cross the distance in a lifetime.

However, we didn't have an opportunity to visit their home.
