anyone here good with universe travel tech/magic? can be something from your world, not just the ingress

i have a device that's supposed to do universe travel but that part hasn't been working right since i got here over a year ago

Yeah, that makes sense. I don't know much about it...just realized when I got here that there isn't just one universe...but I'm extremely curious about it.

[The ramifications could be huge...part of him would be curious to see the alternate world to his own, but another knows how bad it could be if futures accidentally get affected in the process. And he wonders if there are other places like this with trapped beings in one situation or another.]

that's what this was for, so we could go home or to friends' worlds or whatever

I have family and responsibilities back home to go back to, but yet some of my family is here, too. I'd love to get it working properly and to be able to go between.

Yeah, I haven't had any luck, either.

It's a little of both...nice and unsettling. They're my parents...but in my world, by the time I came from...they're gone. It's amazing being able to meet them, but it's still a bit of a shock.

did you spend much time with them at home?

None at all...my mother died in childbirth. I met my father only once, briefly....I never got to know them at all. That's what I'm hoping will be good about being with them. I've wanted to know more for so long...
