I'd like to speak with anyone who's interested in coordinating a structured response to the recent disappearances. If we pool our resources in terms of anything technical that needs to be done, and in terms of things like creating small teams and scheduling the usage of rescue vehicles, things will probably run more smoothly. Retrieving as many people as possible is of paramount importance.

Those of you who have experience in search and rescue, on-the-ground stealth, investigation, intelligence work, and programming and electronics would probably be the most useful… but if that doesn't include you, and you're interested, there should certainly still be a way for you to help. I realize that many of you probably already have ideas about how to proceed, but it couldn't hurt to discuss them so that we don't interfere with each other.

To begin with: if you're able to make contact with anyone who's missing, see if they can capture and send some images of their general surroundings -- but only if they can do so without being seen and can preferably send the results privately. Having that kind of information ahead of time could be overwhelmingly valuable.

Let's do whatever we can.

[Charlie was really hoping this guy wouldn't ask that question. After all, what is she good at, really?

She doesn't have what it takes to follow in her father's footsteps. She doesn't really seem to have any gifts of any kind - she doesn't even have a goal to work toward. The technology here is way beyond her, so she can't help with that. She's a rank newbie when it comes to fighting, as the incident earlier in the month proved.

[There's a pause before he continues, as he tries to think of something for someone to do whose strengths he doesn't know. The obvious solution is to attempt to assess them himself, if he can.]

Will you meet me for coffee? I may be able to suggest something.

That'd be fine. Though, if it's too much of a hassle, don't worry about it, okay? There's people on the line, after all.

[This guy seems smart. She might not be able to contribute, it's true - and sometimes it's better to stay out of the way. It hurts, but not as much as it would if wasting time on her got some good folks lost.]

[That was a surprise. Well, if he's willing to make the effort, then she'll do the same.]

[When she arrives in the lounge, she sees a pale, lanky, dark-haired man in his late twenties. His head tilts inquisitively as she enters the area, and he says,]

Charlie? I'm Ryuuzaki.

[He offers a long thin hand to shake.]

Hi, Ryuuzaki. Nice to meet you.

[There's only a slight pronunciation issue - she was listening, but she also hasn't been exposed to many cultures other than Hurricane, Utah the midwestern United States before now. At any rate, she reaches out to shake his hand.

She's just a teenager, but she has a scar on the left side of her face and a yellow glass eye on the right. The latter is most likely due to the Caducan incident...]
