I'm not sure there's a good way to start this. My name is Charles Xavier, I'm the ships newest Interpersonal Relationships Officer. [Joy.] Any others with the same job, I would appreciate being able to speak with you so we're on the same page.

[Introductions out of the way, his expression turns a little more serious.]

Aside from that, I'd like to speak to anyone that might be able to... replicate a serum. The details are something I would prefer to discuss in private but it's important to me that I find someone.

Yeah, okay, and I'm saying I need information before I can tell you if I can do it or not. [Ratchet sounds a little irritable, but mostly that's just his default setting.]

I have the capacity to synthesize some chemicals, but I need to know if I could get the raw materials necessary and what type of thing it is to see if I have the equipment for it. [His optics narrow, his voice going flat.]

Additionally, I'm a medical doctor. I can't, in good conscience, make something that's going to hurt people. I'll meet up with you if you want but I need to know what it's for before I take a crack at it.

I'm not sure what Hank uses to make it, I have a bit left. There's no harm to anyone on the ship with it, it's made specifically for my use. It's primary use is to treat a spinal injury but it also serves to suppress a specific gene in my DNA.

Yeah? [Ratchet frowns a little, considering this.] I figure I'm 'not like you' enough that I'm likely to come around full circle. You have to understand, I have an extremely basic grasp of what 'genes' are, but I haven't got any--that's not really how we operate. Whatever you've got going on, I can almost guarantee you I've seen weirder. You won't shock me.
