Good morning, everyone. For those of you who I haven't met yet, my name is Elizabeth DeWitt, head librarian. Recently, I was promoted by our captains to the position of First Mate, meaning I have taken on additional responsibilities to the crew aside from encouraging everyone to visit the library and make use of the collection. [Little plug there, forgive her.]

As First Mate, I'll be acting as a liaison between the crew and the captains, should anyone have an issue they would feel more comfortable speaking to me about, or if the captains are off ship. Once I've moved in, my quarters will be located in Section M and I encourage anyone to find me there or at the library if you need me.

...I realize not all of us are happy to find ourselves here, however I am one of the potentially few who very easily call this ship my home. Whatever can be done to make things more efficient, safe, or comfortable, I want to discuss it. But, at the same time, if you just want a reading recommendation and some hot chocolate, I can provide that as well.

[She nods, clearly satisfied with the message and smiles, looking a little relieved that she got through the spiel without embarrassing herself.] I think that about wraps it up, but if there's anything else please feel free to message me. Thank you!

Thank you Eggsy! I'm glad to be helping a little more around the ship, so that's really what I'm excited about-- but it's also nice to have the work I've done on the library noticed. New and different, but I like it. ...Tan lumpy thing? Where is it?

Eggsy. EGGSY. Was that a puppy? Tell me that was a puppy.

It's a puppy. Name's JB. Harry gave him to me. Don't know how he got here, but I could swear this is my pup from back home.

That's so great! He's so adorable, Eggsy, I'm glad you have a little friend here. Does he get along alright with Stark?

Him and Stark get along pretty well. JB just wants to play and was licking him too much, but they're okay now.

Aw. JB is, what, one-fifth the size of Stark? He's got to be a brave one to be ready to wrestle around with such a big friend.

JB just, sort of acts without thinking sometimes. I don't know if he realizes that he's not as big or that Stark could've been dangerous.

Ah, in his mind he's like a big bulldog, ready for anything.

That's right. You should come by and see him sometime.

Can I? It's been a long time since I've seen an actual puppy, he looks so sweet...

Yeah, whenever you want to. Ain't like we live far apart.

We don't for now-- but I'm moving to Section M as soon as I get some time away from the library. I actually think I'm going to miss the barracks, and seeing everyone I know who lives just down the hall...

Where's section M at? Will it be super far off from the rest of us?

[Not so far that they'll never see each other, but it'll be weird her not living with them.]

Not too far! I'm right under the decks, actually. So I'll be hitting my ceiling with a broom handle when everybody gets up to their wild parties.

[It will be weird. She's not sure she likes it but... she'll have a nice room to herself. And it isn't like she can hold office hours in a shared room anyway.]

If someone's havin' wild parties, I'd like to know. But, I bet it'll be nice, havin' all that space to make this place a home for yourself.

[Eggsy knew not everybody wanted to go back to where they came from, and even those that did would probably enjoy the privacy.]

Honestly? I'm looking forward to it. I want a bed with a patchwork quilt on it, maybe some curtains... though I suppose the windows would be fake, which might look a little odd, but curtains are homey, right? And a claw-foot bathtub... Not that I'm trying to brag or anything if uh, you wanted to share a quilt sometime, I'd be glad to.

That all sounds perf. Bet you could make one of them fake windows look pretty real, specially with all this tech we've got around here. Be just like a regular bedroom.

Share a quilt? You askin' me to come over and snuggle a bit?

[He definitely wouldn't turn that down, but he didn't want to interpret wrong.]

Well, yeah. Unless what happened at that party was... no good? I thought it was kind of nice, even if it was encouraged by cheesecake.

No, it's not that. Of course it was good, better than good. I just wanted to be sure you actually wanted somethin' to happen, not just cause the cheesecake was makin' ya feel that way.

Well I'm not going to lie, if I hadn't had a little push courtesy of cheesecake, you wouldn't have found me in your lap that day. But when it wore off I really didn't mind--I was more concerned that you minded. I thought it was an experience.

I didn't mind. Just wanted to be sure, yeah? But now that I know that, you should know I wouldn't mind comin' over sometime. Even if kissin' was off the table.

I wouldn't mind you coming over either, even if kissing was off the table! I think you're a good person Eggsy, and someone I would like to know better regardless.

I'd like to get to know you better, too. How about we set somethin' up, yeah? When we both ain't workin'?

That's the trick, isn't it? I'll let you know when things have calmed down. I think my foreseeable future includes a lot of official business...
