[When the video clicks on, it's not to the confused face of a newcomer, to the concern of someone who has just been plucked out of their universe and thrown to another. It's not of anger, fear, annoyance, none of that. When the video focuses, it's on a man wearing a strange dark coat, twirling one end of a ginger mustache between his fingers. He has light blue markings on his face, pointed ears, wild hair, a patch over his right eye, and looks entirely nonplussed by this entire situation.

In fact, this particular newcomer seems settled enough that he's able to hold the TAB in a steady hand at the perfect MySpace angle. No, seriously, he has this selfie stuff on lock.]

You know, this reminds me of that time I was on the coast of Melharoo, on the planet Yaluk of the Fifth Nebula. There was an entertainment city -- Va Harn, I believe the name was -- with a resort that operated kind of like this. Woke up there without a clue of what I'd been doing the past week! Turns out I'd had a particularly nasty run in with a few Wabbernocks! [Here, he laughs. As if everything he's saying makes complete and total sense.] Last time I went there during a waning metra.

[He lets go of the edge of his mustache, letting it bounce back into place as he regards the lens of the TAB.]

It's been a good while since I've had the time to learn about a new culture, so go ahead fellow visitors and Thisavrounians! Give me your best stories. Tell me about your culture, your technology, your holidays-- anything you could possibly think of!

[And, almost as if it's an afterthought, rather than the whole point of this broadcast Coran come on]

Oh! And if anyone's heard some rumors about flying robotic lions -- particularly a colored set -- I'd appreciate the information.

Swap meet? [Pidge raises an eyebrow slightly. Hunk caught her up on a lot of things, but "swap meet"... Oh wait.] You mean the mall?

..... that is how you and the others kept describing it, but it was definitely a hotbed of violence and thievery! They just keep up that clean exterior to take advantage of tourists!

[It was a mall.]

Uh-huh.

[She can't help but look amused. Well, at least that clarifies it. Coran is also from some point further along the timeline than she and Allura.]

Soo... Were you just there?

[As incensed as he is about all of you little gremlins questioning the validity of that Unilu swap moon, that question does get him to sober up a little.]

I was. We'd just got back to the castle after getting some replacement scaultrite lenses. [He pauses for just a moment.] I think Allura mentioned something about the temporal displacements putting you two and Shiro around the time of the wormhole malfunction?

[Her smile fades ever so slightly, but it's still there. It's weird that this is starting to feel like a perfectly normal thing to talk about. ..Or at least it is to her. The others would probably disagree.]

Yeah. It may actually be a function of the Ingress technology here, being able to pull anything from anywhere from any point in space time. It sounds pretty crazy, but technically humans think that being able to create wormholes at will is insane and impossible, so... [She shrugs.] Anything goes around here.

Allura and I both remember the wormhole being corrupted. Shiro doesn't even remember that. And Lance, Keith, and Hunk all seem to be from all our future.

[Okay, he can't help but be a little indignant about the wormhole thing.] Impossible! Wormhole technology is an integral part of Altean travel!

[But that's a rant for another day.]

The wormhole was a while ago for me, too. [He'll have to talk to Lance, Keith, and Hunk about that one, then...]

But we'll have plenty of time to figure all this out as soon as I can get off this complex and down planetside! In the meantime, how does the Ingress technology look? Is it mostly human advancements? More Altean? Olkari?

[Pidge just kind of grins.] I know, I'm just saying that humans haven't figured it out yet.

[But back to business:]

It's hard to say. The thing of it is that the machinery is really only in place to harness the energy and control it. But even then the tech isn't like anything I've ever seen. Though I guess the only thing I've actually seen of Olkari tech is that echo cube that Hunk had, so I can't do a full comparison there, but- Anyway, the tech is pretty advanced. It's really impressive.
