TAB - Video
[ When the video clicks on, immediately the scene on display is a modest sized farmhouse with what look like orchards in the distance. From the fairly temperate looking climate a good guess would be that this is on Kauto.
The video turns about, giving a flash of a large block of wood and what looks like smaller pieces scattered around it. Good guess is that someone is chopping wood but has taken a break for the moment. This is born out when Adrien's face comes into the feed, the doctor is dressed in a t-shirt rather than his usual uniform.
Slightly out of breath, his dark hair is plastered to his face at the temples and forehead. Yep, someone has been chopping wood, rather aggressively if the sweat is anything to go by. ]
I'll keep this short and to the point. [ Par for the course. ] For what it's worth to those you who are accident prone or otherwise given to ending up injured, I've applied for duties at the local hospital in Region One. [ He doesn't expect he's the only one but he'll let Angela and Alva speak for themselves. ]
I'm also -and I can't believe these words are leaving my mouth- using some of the equipment salvaged from the MedBay on the Moira to equip a private practice here at this location. [ He made a vague motion in the direction of the house. ]
If anyone feels more comfortable ... [ These words are delivered in a neutral, non-judgmental tone. The Savrii have been nothing but generous to this point and this is not to suggest there is a problem. Rather, he knows what it's like to be paranoid as fuck. ] ... well, what's the saying? The devil you know?
[ Pausing for a drink of water, he fiddles for a moment with the bottle, before gazing up and over the top of the device, his eyes obviously scanning the landscape for something. He takes a breath, stops the words but then quickly finishes. ]
Uhhm ... I'm not sure, who else is on Kauto but ... has anyone happened to seen Courser in the past couple of days?
[ Though his tone is level, to anyone who knows him well, there is a definite edge of anxiety in his voice and in his expression. ]

[ She set her bottle of water on the surface of the island as she slid up onto the seat, brushing hair off her brow, settling in to peer around the kitchen. It was so open, it reminded her of the apartment she'd had before shipping out to Yemen. ]
It was a nice walk. I particularly enjoyed walking through the trees.
[ And still there'd been no sign of Courser, which she could make out at the corner pinches of Adrien's eyes, how he moved. ]
How are you holding up?

I'm ... trying not to get stuck in an endless loop of 'what ifs', combined with the natural desire to obsess on the negative possibilities.
[ It went without saying that minute by minute sometimes he had better luck with this than others.
For the moment, he set down the glass and poured her a healthy splash of red from one of the bottles he'd opened to cook with. No need to fear that it was bottom of the barrel, cheap; he would never cook with cheap wine.
It was, in fact, rather good wine and suggested that it had possibly cost a pretty penny. Odd -maybe- for someone who didn't drink the stuff.
Setting the glass in front of her and the bottle close at hand as well, he went back to peering into his soup pot. ]
It just needs another fifteen minutes, to finish cooking the vegetables and then it should be ready. Did you bring the bread?

[ She reached into her pac for what he'd asked for, retrieving it and passing it over. ]
Here we go.
[ It was then that she reached for the wine, lifting it to breathe in its scent before testing with a slow sip. Mm, not bad. He knew how to pick out a good wine. ]
I understand that. I went through that a lot back home. But I'm almost positive Courser will return home.

Distracting himself with the simple act of cutting the bread -seriously he didn't need to be slicing it on a bias but he was fidgeting- he spun the knife handle in his hand a couple of times. ]
The first time, we witnessed young bahari just ... take off, less than half of them came back alive.
[ He looked up at her and then seemed to consciously force himself to stop fidgeting with the knife and just cut the damn bread. It really was ridiculous to stand there and try to discuss vegetables, when they both knew what was on his mind. ]
And he didn't have the best start to begin with. [ He paused as he finished with the bread and set the knife down. Then he looked back up at her and this time his eyes stayed focused. ]
For what little comfort it might be, Nate couldn't be better at what he does.
