[ There's more than one reason why Bruce chooses text over audio or video, but right now, the main one is because he wants to avoid any confrontations. There's still a good chance they might come, if people recognize him by name alone, but this way he keeps a certain amount of distance. ]
Hi. This is Bruce Banner. Given the current state of the ship, I've been trying to think of ways to cope with the cold that seems to have settled pretty much everywhere. I don't know nearly enough to suggest how to fix it, besides it doesn't seem like there's much anyone could do in that regard - but we can still try to help each other through this.
My suggestion would be to find one single space, large enough for the whole crew, but still not so large that the cold disperses too much. Preferably somewhere that's dry - so no pool or mess hall, for instance. We should all move there temporarily, take as many clothes, blankets and pillows as we can, and settle in together. It'll help us all keep warm a little better, I think. Not to mention we might avoid life support going down on places at random, if we can get the captains to focus most of whatever energy there is in maintaining the environment in one room.
[ AND because he's sure some people will know him by name... ]
By the way, in case you're wondering: yes, I'm that Bruce Banner. Ask your questions, if you have any.
Otherwise, feel free to suggest some places for us to settle in.

Great. I'd thought about the library, actually, but I didn't really want to just break into the place unannounced. [ Figuratively. ]

Yeah, I get that. At this point I don't think anyone would complain the moment they saw blankets. It's just that cold.

I've been suggested the library so far. It might just be our best option, as far as warm and dry places go.

Would the gardens work? They will have to keep it warm enough not to kill the plants.

In theory, it sounds nice, but there are a lot of pipes there. I'm not sure it would work. At least not as well as the library, which has been suggested too.
no subject
[Because it's getting bad - she'd drink straight hot water at this point. Anything to try to keep warm.]
The library is a good choice. It is comfortable and we won't be bored.
no subject
[ Not just the cold, but the pipes constantly bursting and spreading a layer of ice all across the floor. ]
It's been said too. There'll be plenty of books to keep us distracted. I've been reading some technical ones myself, to see if we can figure out what the problem is, but even those books are interesting. [ Well they're interesting to him. ]

Good plan. I posted some suggestions, but they all call for better knowledge of the ship and crew.

The captains seem to be unreachable at the moment.
Someone suggested the library, so far it sounds like the best option.
no subject
Is this usual for them?
Ah, I know the place. That could work.
Is there someone on your deck making sure people report in, or have somewhere else to go?
no subject
Not really. Have people been doing that? It might be a good idea. I'll go around the rooms to let them know about this anyway. It'd be ideal to get as many people together as possible.

I'm just saying, some might not like the idea of sharing space for who knows how long. Other than that though, I think it's probably the best idea I've heard so far. I'm all for it if we can find a good place for it

So far the library's the best suggestion. It's dry, decently isolated, and plenty of room for those who don't want to be too close to the rest of the group.
no subject
Sounds like the best suggestion--I can't think of a better one, at least. Plus there'll be books to keep us entertained, so that's a bonus, right? I'm definitely liking this idea.
[ His only other one was to hang around in his armour at all times and enjoy the benefits of the body heat regulation that it has. But that doesn't really help anyone but himself, and he'd like to pitch in for others, too. ]
no subject
[ He'll be fine, even if he ends up freezing up-- other people, not so much. ]
Well yes, they'll provide both entertainment and a certain level of insulation. It might not be much, but every little bit helps.

I would like to address hippo in room.
Elephant.
I'm not so good at English, can't remember which it is.
But I am not pissed at you. It probably does not make you better in your own head, but I will tell you anyway. [Because Niko is dangerous when he gets angry too. With less reason.]

[ And he can't help a tired smile at the rest. It's a lot better than what he'd expected when he first posted, though - so far people avoided the topic, or just didn't know who he was or what had happened, but that the one person to address it doesn't do it in a hostile manner is an honest relief. ]
Elephant. But either works.
Thank you. That means a lot. [ That he actually understands that Bruce didn't want to do any of that. ]

[Niko knows it fucked him up, but honestly it's a mentality he'll never escape.]

[ Except he does - and it hits a little too close to home. Even before the monster, his whole childhood was a string of abuse, one hurtful word after the other, and somehow the words hurt more than being pushed around and beaten up. Useless, weak, a waste of space... he heard it all. Sometimes he hears the voice in his head and he doesn't know if it's still his father, or the Hulk. ]
I would rather not be strong, for what it's worth.
I would rather the monster could be stopped somehow.

And. Um.
Can I ask why that happens? That transformation that you went through. It doesn't seem possible.
no subject
[ The fact that there is no apparent problem only worries him more, honestly.
He takes a while to decide how to answer to that, how much should he share. In the end, though, what does it matter? People know, and they have seen the monster already. May as well tell the whole story. ]
It shouldn't be possible.
Some years ago, I was working with a team in this project about radiation resistance, or so we were told.
We didn't know that it was actually an attempt to replace an experiment that had happened some decades before, Project Rebirth.
The intention was to create Super Soldiers.
I subjected myself to the experiment when I thought that we had been successful in achieving our goal. My body was flooded with gamma radiation. I should've died, but I'd been injected with a serum too. I didn't know it was actually a radiation-resistant serum.
So instead of dying, the experiment gave me the monster.
When my body releases certain levels of adrenaline, they cross with the gamma radiation and the transformation occurs.
This most often happens when I'm angry, but anything that makes my heart speed up will do the same.
If I'm attacked, for instance. That's what happened at the planet. I was triggered.
In those situations I can't control him. Usually he just runs away after some time, but being in a strange world, with all the people coming at him, I think it made him angrier.
I can do controlled transformations, though. Those times I'm in control. I can help people, instead of hurting them.
But I don't do it unless I really have to.

Human testing was a sketchy subject, though it took guts to be the one to volunteer to be irradiated. ]
Wow.
That's really crazy that it had results like that, but I guess with military tech adaptions then things can get a little out of a hand.
Um. If it makes you feel any better, something I invented was almost used to destroy the city I lived in. And... it got some people hurt in the process.
