[ There's more than one reason why Bruce chooses text over audio or video, but right now, the main one is because he wants to avoid any confrontations. There's still a good chance they might come, if people recognize him by name alone, but this way he keeps a certain amount of distance. ]
Hi. This is Bruce Banner. Given the current state of the ship, I've been trying to think of ways to cope with the cold that seems to have settled pretty much everywhere. I don't know nearly enough to suggest how to fix it, besides it doesn't seem like there's much anyone could do in that regard - but we can still try to help each other through this.
My suggestion would be to find one single space, large enough for the whole crew, but still not so large that the cold disperses too much. Preferably somewhere that's dry - so no pool or mess hall, for instance. We should all move there temporarily, take as many clothes, blankets and pillows as we can, and settle in together. It'll help us all keep warm a little better, I think. Not to mention we might avoid life support going down on places at random, if we can get the captains to focus most of whatever energy there is in maintaining the environment in one room.
[ AND because he's sure some people will know him by name... ]
By the way, in case you're wondering: yes, I'm that Bruce Banner. Ask your questions, if you have any.
Otherwise, feel free to suggest some places for us to settle in.

Great. I'd thought about the library, actually, but I didn't really want to just break into the place unannounced. [ Figuratively. ]

Yeah, I get that. At this point I don't think anyone would complain the moment they saw blankets. It's just that cold.

[ He sounds amused when he says that. But yes, the shadows are kind of creepy. ]
You should have plenty of people showing up there over the next couple of days, I think. By the way, do you have a coffee machine, or a water boiler? Someone mentioned coffee would be a good idea, and frankly I could use a cup of tea every so often. We'll likely still have to walk around the ship to perform our duties but it would do no harm to have some food and other supplies of the sort there, too.

Mm, no, I don't have either of those-- I was a little nervous about anything getting on the books, a lot of them look like they can't be replaced. [And they were mostly all Thán's, and she'd promised to care for them as though they were her own.] But this is an emergency, I think having the means to make hot beverages is an issue of survival at this point.

[ Shaky hands would make it pretty difficult not to spill, after all. ]

[Is that some contempt in her voice? That's definitely some contempt.]

[ He tries to sound a little amused, but he's honestly worried here. He just hopes there really will be an 'after'. ]
But we'll have to make do with blankets somehow. Or socks, that could work.

Any port in a storm, I guess!

[ Bruce's familiar with making do with what he has, thus the socks idea. Not the first time he's needed to warm himself up whatever way he could. ]
But I'll definitely be looking into getting myself a decent pair of gloves and other warm clothes to keep around now. Just in case.

See you soon, Bruce.

Let me know if you think of something in the meantime. [ And with that, he ends the call. ]
