[ Everybody settling in alright? Or at least, as well as can be expected?

Adrien had intended to send this out as a text, but he was still getting used to the new TABs and upon realizing his mistake, couldn't be arsed to change it. The doctor usually looks harried, it might have something to do with his perpetual scowl, but he's looking particularly yanked through a knothole backwards at the moment.

All the way down to the fact that he's obviously showered and made an attempt to trim his beard, only to wind up cutting himself. Please ignore the tell tale little dots of paper stuck to his face at the moment. The blade was dull, okay?! ]

It dawned on me, as these things do when one is slicing their face open with a razor, a question that probably should have been asked a week or so ago.

Those of you in the crew, who are capable of, or posses magical abilities and of a temperament to help, would you have a spell or a ... [ here he gestures with his hands, he's not trying to be offensive, magic is just not something his world has ever been exposed too and he's only aware that it can be vary from person to person. ] ... that would purify water?

Thinking if that ability exists, we might give it a try on those purple streams and see if we can remove some of the nasty side-effects and restock our supplies.

Haven't been thirsty. [ Please, he's military and medical. The only reason he didn't pack a kitchen sink was because he couldn't get the nuts unscrewed. ]

This is merely looking towards a desire to keep it that way without having to deal with bouts of lethargy after the fact.

Well I'm not magical, sorry. I've already tried to filter it and nothing changed.

I'm a big anal when it comes to packing. Comes from having to make sure I keep enough band-aids around for the accident prone in this crew.

I haven't had much luck with standard filtration systems either. [ Not that what he'd tried was all that advanced. ]

I was thinking that if a magic solution was available, it might be faster than trying to pursue something more high tech.

You're a doctor?

Isn't everybody like... stripped of their powers right now, even if there was a magical solution?

It's what the paper I got out of a box of cracker jacks said. [ It was his standard reply to that question. ]

It seems to be to varying degrees. Some people are completely stripped down, some people seem to be drinking the water as a restorative and some passive type abilities appear to still function.

I got security. Hey, man, would you mind taking a look at this weird mole I found? [ He pauses there, and he sounds completely serious and vaguely worried, but he's really just waiting for a reaction. Sorry, Adrien, he's a joker. ]

That's interesting, it just makes me super tired.

Can I lop it off without a local if it looks at me funny? [ What might be worrisome is he sounds completely serious. ]

The water? Or just this area?

I'm just messing with you, man. No moles here, no weird rash or anything. I hope you wouldn't lop those off too.

The water. I just drink it because I've got nothing else and dehydration's a nasty way to go.

Depends upon how thoroughly you torqued me off. [ Adrien responded, and though he didn't smile it might still have been difficult to tell if he was joking or not. ]

There are rations of clean water spread out among the crew. Medical has a supply and other people have personal supplies. We're being cautious, and I would like to secure a source here on this planet but there is enough if you'd like to stop drinking purple water.

[ York's usually good at reading people, but Adrien's got a good poker face. ]

I would, I'll pick up a ration from medical I guess. Being weak around here isn't really comfortable.

Is it worse on people with powers?

[ He tents to have a resting neutral expression that serves him well. ]

It seems there is a correlation between how much power the person expends while under the effects of the water and the resulting lethargy when the effects wear off.

Though even that appears to be ... fluctuating from individual to individual.

[ The Ingress did not seem to like to be consistent. ]

Hopefully we won't have to worry about water much longer.
