I cannot speak of experience in my time here, but may I ask if this is about Genji?
[ The log of network users was showing him as departed and she hasn't seen him of late, after all, and this was not a large enough ship to have not run into him for a couple of weeks. While she may not have told Hanzo that she knew who he was, this reply leaves no doubt and she only hopes he will take it in stride.
The possibility of information on Genji outweighs that of her delicacy for her fledgling relationship with Hanzo. He wouldn't know her well enough to gauge her worry in this matter, but it is significant for her to put such a blunt question forward. ]
I am so sorry, Hanzo. He never passed through the medbay or the cryo chamber. I have only heard of people returning home safely time and again, and that some even return.
If it would not be an inconvenience to you, I would like to hear any information you may glean as well. Genji is a very dear friend of mine and I will offer the same in return.
[ After a few moments, another message follows: ]
I've not seen you around since we arrived; has everything been all right?
That is certainly true, but they may have been able to tell you the last time they'd seen him at least. It's a start. As for this directory, I've only noticed it updating regularly after a few people I have met have gone as well. One was a child I had worried about and scoured the ship for, so it is only meager experience, but experience nonetheless.
Well, I need to brew the tea, first of all. And I'd rather keep my cups. ♥ I'll see you shortly.
[Eventually, Hanzo does arrive. It takes time and plenty of willpower to make himself choose to socialize, but he has committed to this now. He might as well see it through.
He finds her. Not that it's hard, and even if it was, he'd still find her. With no words, Hanzo sits down, tucking his legs under himself as he stares at the fire.
If she was hoping for conversation, Hanzo is not starting it.]
[ Angela, as promised, has a tidy fire going with a pot of water nearly boiling, two cups clearly snuck out from the party set aside and a tin of tea at the ready. She'd made it herself and it was the closest she could get to green tea in her memory (though a little sweeter), but it may take some tweaking; she was usually a coffee woman and it has been a while.
Hanzo approaches quietly and kneels right down to sit a respectable distance from her, and she offers a demure little bow of her head. She's sitting directly in the sand in a rather nice dress, legs off to one side as she settles tea leaves in a makeshift teabag of sterile gauze before she's offering him a cup to hold so she can pour the water in. ]
[If there is something to be said about Angela, it is her remarkable sense of manners and comprehension of culture. Hanzo pauses, almost a little speechless before he remembers himself; the cup is taken and he bows his head briefly but respectfully.]
[ Switzerland is a country that also values decorum, after all. Trading curtsies and handshakes for a bow was not so difficult an adjustment for the doctor. The tea bundle goes in the bottom of the cup and she pours the hot water over top, then manages the same for her own cup burrowed halfway in the sand to hold it steady. ]
I'll let you keep hold of them until you've tried the tea; I'm not so sure I've pegged the blend yet, so it may not be to your liking. It was a side project.
[ Admitted with a bit of a laugh under her breath, picking at the gauze holding onto her tea to idly dunk in the hot stoneware that warmed her hands through as though it may brew quicker. "Was" a project, because she isn't entirely sure who she'd be making it for anymore. It'd only been an idle fancy of hers to offer as a gift while she learned the plants available to them.
For now, they can simply appreciate the silence. It may be a little forward of her to invite such a taciturn man out for tea and then fail to hold up conversation, but on the same hand she's rather certain he won't mind quieter company. ]

I am fine.
let's pretend he's updated on it tbh because it would be accurate otherwise
Besides the lack of records here in the medbay, it is all I've been able to find. Do you know where his room is?
I am glad, then. A lot has happened in the last few weeks. I managed to sneak off the Moira with some tea and coffee if either would interest you.

And those he roomed with haven't seen him?
Would you like to meet me on the beach, then? I'll have a fire going in about fifteen minutes.

You seem very confident in the directory
[And she isn't a fool, so there is something to be taken from that.]
Why would I do that?
