[ Say hello to a glowing green visor, that soon steps back to reveal a very backlit cyborg, who lifts his hand in a casual greeting. ]
Yo! I thought I should introduce myself! I am Genji Shimada. I am new here, and although many of my friends are here, I am very interested to speak to those I have yet to meet.
I will serve as a messenger on this ship, and I currently reside in Moro Deck, room six, if anyone would like to pay me a visit!
Please be patient with me, this is a very strange adjustment to make, I have never been into space, so I am still getting my bearings. I ask that you forgive any seemingly foolish questions from me.
More over, I am also looking for sparring and/or meditation partners to spend some of my spare time with. If anyone is interested, do not hesitate to contact. I am also happy to help guide meditation, if it interests someone who is a beginner.
Let me know if there is anything I can help with, my skills are very specific, but if I can make a difference for anyone, I gladly will.
It is an honor to meet you all!

[ She can pick up the anxiety in his voice, imagine the slight little draw of his brows voicing such a thing would leave creasing the scarred skin beneath. That's right; the cold metal had never settled well with him. She'd taken to keeping a blanket on hand she'd sit back against over her chair to warm before his visits, laying it down as a buffer for him whenever she had him prone on the table. That was years back; she'd nearly forgotten such a little but important thing. One of her routine adjustments in his care, as thoughtful as can be. Her smile warms with the memory, eyes crinkling at the corners— the most obvious sign of her age was how easily the skin gave way to those crinkles these days. ]
We'll see; I'll try to avoid it if we can, but if not, I'll find something to lay down for you.
Perhaps we can try to meditate right after; I've found some nice areas we could spend some time at. The gardens, or some of the larger windows to view the stars.

[ That and the fact that being back on any medical table brings a lot of bad memories to the surface. He's tried to avoid it as much as he can. ]
Oh yes, the gardens are very nice, I would like that. Have you been practicing meditation? Last I remember, you were so busy all the time. It would be a nice break for you.
I suppose all of us are suddenly at a surplus of time now, aren't we?

[ A few things to check his vitals and a couple tools to get into his limbs to ensure everything is still moving smoothly and he'd be right on his way, barring complications. She doesn't want his joints locking up or any fussy sensors acting out, denying him full use of his senses. ]
Not very effectively I'm afraid, but I have been trying.
...Off and on. [ Admitted with a bit of a laugh, colored with her embarrassment. It was difficult to focus on shutting out external stimuli in the middle of warzones. Not the best of places to try learning a new skill. ] That remains to be seen with how busy medbay will be, but you're right; it will still be significantly quieter.

[ He really wasn't a fan, but who is honestly? ] Well, I suppose I really should. Okay then.
As for meditation, it must be worked at day by day, you must treat it like a medicine.
[ Perhaps more relatable comparisons for her would encourage more regular practice. ]

[ It's spoken as kindly as possible; she's always done her best to set him at ease and be as non-invasive as she could for him, and nothing has changed. If anything, the years have only refined her gentleness. Angela's never done anything short of her best to take care of him no matter what grief they'd had. ]
Mm, I'm sure there will be more time to put my mind to it here. I won't be expecting anyone to interrupt me.
[ Whether it was someone caught in a mine blast or another town was being ransacked by the local militia, or one of their own was shot and needed urgent care— there hadn't been much time to herself beyond her few minutes for combat showers. ]
