[What kind of douche would wear sunglasses indoors? Someone who can't tell that he hasn't centred the video properly. Matt would normally avoid using video altogether since it's more of a hassle, but he feels this needs to have a face to go along with it.]
It's become increasingly clear that our sojourn isn't going to be over any time soon and instead we're welcoming more people so I felt we need to figure out a few ground rules. Avoiding recreating Lord of the Flies is in our best interests. [Yes, he's aware this makes him Ralph at best, Piggy at worst.
He pushes his glasses further up before he continues.]
It's been touched on in our contracts, cooperation is encouraged because we are all in the same position, but with all the different people here we may not have the same understanding of right or wrong. My name is Matt Murdock and I'm currently your Interrogation Technician, but before that I was a lawyer in the state of New York which is why I'm bringing it up. For those of you who don't know where New York is, I'm from a planet called Earth.
Anyway, the basics should be don't murder, attack or steal from your fellow crewmates and do your job. But it's the trickier situations that I ask your opinion for. Say one of us is a wanted criminal in their world, do we hold them? If yes, how do we verify that the information is true in the first place? And if you have any other suggestions, feel free to share them. We can't pass any laws, but we can at least agree to a certain code of conduct.

[ As much as Clark believes justice should be served, he doesn't see a fair way to do that on the ship right now. ]
Even on Earth, the rules aren't the same everywhere. How long would we hold a hypothetical criminal? What if they've committed a capital offense?
Another question is whether we would be capable of holding them in the first place in the case of, say, someone with superhuman abilities.
