[What kind of douche would wear sunglasses indoors? Someone who can't tell that he hasn't centred the video properly. Matt would normally avoid using video altogether since it's more of a hassle, but he feels this needs to have a face to go along with it.]
It's become increasingly clear that our sojourn isn't going to be over any time soon and instead we're welcoming more people so I felt we need to figure out a few ground rules. Avoiding recreating Lord of the Flies is in our best interests. [Yes, he's aware this makes him Ralph at best, Piggy at worst.
He pushes his glasses further up before he continues.]
It's been touched on in our contracts, cooperation is encouraged because we are all in the same position, but with all the different people here we may not have the same understanding of right or wrong. My name is Matt Murdock and I'm currently your Interrogation Technician, but before that I was a lawyer in the state of New York which is why I'm bringing it up. For those of you who don't know where New York is, I'm from a planet called Earth.
Anyway, the basics should be don't murder, attack or steal from your fellow crewmates and do your job. But it's the trickier situations that I ask your opinion for. Say one of us is a wanted criminal in their world, do we hold them? If yes, how do we verify that the information is true in the first place? And if you have any other suggestions, feel free to share them. We can't pass any laws, but we can at least agree to a certain code of conduct.

video;
Are you implying that SHIELD isn't doing well? As far as I know, everyone is just fine.
video;
I'm not sure if I'm the right person to tell you what happened after you left your office. I am limited to what I've heard in the news.
[He's going to assume that this won't break the timeline since Tony's asking.]
video;
I wouldn't leave unless I was sure it would work out. I guess that answers my question.
[Because he knows himself. Tony pauses, then he smiles. Again, it's pretty much for anyone that happens to be watching. His voice doesn't raise.]
To answer your question, I run SHIELD based on the advice given to me from trusted officers. It works just fine.
video;
No one told me you were big on trust. I hear mostly unflattering things about your paranoia.
video;
They're Fury's. I can't really argue with that sort of endorsement, can I?
[They won't let him. They'll smack him into shape if it ends him. But he does like Dugan and Maria most of the time. They keep him from completely losing his mind, he thinks.]
You say paranoia, but I like to call it being prepared.
