Well I didn't show up on the Moira, and the planet I arrived on had some smaller ships flying around.

But I never saw anything like that before I was brought here, no.

[Didn't show up on the Moira? Neither did other her, maybe they came at the same time?]

Did you arrive on C-Primary?

No, I showed up after that, in a place called Ceta.

[Which she's thankful for. She's heard about what happened on Cadacus Primary, and it's not something she needed to witness.]

The air there was poisonous and flammable, and there were a bunch of flying whales.

[Whales that people got way too worked up about, in her opinion, but whatever.]

Flying whales. [She repeats the statement, as if not wholly comprehending, but then shrugs it off. Space! Alternate universe! Whatever, she's seen lifeforms that literally look like medieval dragons and Lovecraftian nightmares, why not flying whales?]

And poisonous air? Sounds like you had it rough. Did you have the option to stay on Ceta? [beat;] Not that it sounds like the kind of destination you'd want to colonize.

There were little bubbles of breathable air with buildings in them - all built by the people who were there to hunt the whales, I guess.

[She doesn't really understand the science behind what kept the breathable air separate from the toxic stuff, though.]

It wasn't that bad - I stayed down there for a week before anyone made me come aboard. I would have stayed there the the entire time, if it were an option.

Were the bubbles anchored to the land, or floating? [It's a bizarre question, but who literally knows what the answer could be? Hunting whales is the most normal part of the sentence.]

But it wasn't an option. [Huh.] Did the locals make you leave, or did the Moira crew force you to join them?

They were anchored to chunks of the land, but the land was floating.

[So, both, she guesses? Ceta was kind of a weird place, but everyone just took it in stride.]

If it were an option, I would've gotten another ship. [Why the hell would she have willingly gone with her kidnappers, after all. Granted, she doesn't know how to fly a ship, still, but she's sure she'd either hitch a ride or figure it out somehow.] The crew made it clear that I couldn't stay on the planet.

[Admittedly, she's made some friends here, but... She still isn't happy about not being given a real choice, in that regard.]

I probably would've wanted to do the same. Easier to trust in yourself and your own skills than the questionable promises of someone you've just met, especially when you factor the Ingress into the picture.

[It's a parallel she's thought about before, and sympathises with Robin easily.]

That said, you've got the transporters here. Ever think of just taking one and going?

[Robin raises a skeptical eyebrow at that. C'mon Shepard, use your head, there's no way she's answering a question like that over the network. She might not be the most tech-savvy girl in the universe, but it's been explained to her already that the Captains probably have access to everything that's been said there.]

What about you?

[In response to the eyebrow, she smiles a little cheekily, and shrugs. Fuck the system.]

Hmm. Maybe in desperation, when I first arrived — if I'd been given the chance.

But as things stand? No. If I knew more about this universe, its people, systems, currencies, languages, transports, and more about what the Ingresses really are? Maybe, and that's coming from someone who's pretty comfortable in space.

For the time being, we've got resources, food, medical aid, weaponry, and a ship. Seems as good a place as any to bide time, make preparations, and learn a thing or two — and if I can help anyone out while I'm on board, that's a bonus.

Opportunities will present themselves. In the meantime, I'll do the best I can by others, and study as much as I can for myself.
