[The line is snapped back, angry, but this instruction, Rinzler doesn't waste any time acting on. Of course, given they're still on the planet? That might take a while.]

[There's exactly one person on the ship Rinzler will admit to being slower than, and he certainly wouldn't trust that glitch to help.]

Yes.

There's no answer this time, though it won't take long to reach the medbay.]

[When the dust seems to have settled, Luke walks slowly, slowly over. His ribs are more healed than they were, but they're still sensitive and delicate. He takes his time, cringing slightly.]
[Luke isn't quite sure what Rinzler is, but he knows he's not a medical droid. He feels it's worthwhile to praise him for rising to the occasion.] You did very well, Rinzler. You might have saved Washington's life.
[Said while looking Washington over, gently gripping his chest with the arm that doesn't end abruptly in a stump.]

Laid out in one of the many beds in the area, Wash looks a little less hopeless since it's harder to tell just how limp his body has gone compared to when he's sitting, or worse, being dragged through the halls by Rinzler as nothing but a dead weight. His eyes are closed now too, so he looks more like he could simply be sleeping, though his body gives the occasional twitch or he murmurs under his breath some more, indicating that this is not really the case. ]
Alpha... Help... [ A short, shuddering breath. ] Can't take it. Can't...
[ And then he's quiet again but for the sound of his breathing. ]

The enforcer may have some questions to go ask.
Luke's approach doesn't go unnoticed, of course, but it's not until the user speaks that he spares a glance sideways. The stare is contemptuous; the rise of his constant mechanical rattling not dissimilar from a low snarl. He doesn't need your pity, user. Rinzler knows when he failed, and the proof is lying on a bed in front of them.]

When did this start, Rinzler?

Wash may have stopped his muttering for the time being, but he doesn't stir at the sound of Rinzler's increasingly louder rattling, nor at the sound of Luke's voice. There's nothing going on outside that makes it through, the inside of his head already too full, too loud. He can't even handle that, given the way he's shut down, so how could he manage even more? ]

Ingress entry.

I talked to him once before about trying to help him... I'm still not sure I could do it. Do you know him very well, Rinzler?
no subject
Yes. He'd thought so. But Rinzler hadn't thought Wash would crash like this, either, so clearly he hadn't known enough.]

The mask dips in a nod. Yes, user. He's met Wash.]

Didn't glitch.

[Talking to Rinzler is sometimes like a constantly evolving riddle. Luke takes a moment to consider that. Didn't glitch. Droid programing glitches... they were talking about the past- Luke's eyes light up.] You mean- he didn't act like this the last few times you spoke?
no subject
For a user in charge of technology, Rinzler isn't very impressed by this one's comprehension.]

I mentioned a technique that might help him, but I'm not... I'm not well versed enough. I don't want to make it worse. [Luke stares, absent-minded, trying to figure if discretion or bravery is the better course, here.]
