Hi all — Shepard here, just a quick couple of questions.

First, I know the mail system can be all over the place, so I wanted to reach out to everyone. Last month, I received this-- [And here, she holds up a hypospray with this label affixed to it. She rotates it slowly, showing off the entire label as she speaks.] --in my mailbox. Not sure what kind of medicine it is, but if you know, or know who it belongs to, please let me know as soon as possible.

Second, I wanted to ask about the Ingress. From what I've read and been told, it opens once every month, at the beginning of that month. Now, I've only been here a month — can anyone with more experience tell me if it's normal or not that it hasn't opened by now?

Oh I... I don't like it to be public knowledge, so I couldn't tell whatever number of people are in the same situation. I'm supposed to be a high ranked crewmember, I can't have everyone looking at me and wondering if they should pity me.

...but it might be good to get it off my chest, if you wanted to exchange stories sometime.

[Pity? For a moment, she wonders if anyone pitied her, when she came back after she died. The idea was somehow amusing.

Mostly, they'd just laughed that she kept writing "2183" instead of "2185", and again when she'd briefly struggled with firearm upgrades. Laughter was probably a kind of pity.]

Ha, well, I'm not saying make a network post about it, or join a shipwide support group... but, yeah. Getting things off your chest can help. I don't think anyone would think less of you for it — I certainly wouldn't.

And I'm all about story swapping. Do you drink coffee?

Maybe... [Perhaps it was the circumstances that surrounded it. Being murdered while trying to save children is probably high on most peoples' lists of Tragic Incidents, and would no doubt prompt all kinds of questions from people who cared. Who it was, how she found herself in Rapture, why she hadn't tried to do something else...]

I do drink coffee. Probably better than talking about this over drinks, I'll be honest.

As a general rule, I've found that mixing alcohol with death makes for a bad time. [beat;] Or a good time, depending on what you're aiming for. Guess it's all about perspective.
