Hi all — Shepard here, just a quick couple of questions.

First, I know the mail system can be all over the place, so I wanted to reach out to everyone. Last month, I received this-- [And here, she holds up a hypospray with this label affixed to it. She rotates it slowly, showing off the entire label as she speaks.] --in my mailbox. Not sure what kind of medicine it is, but if you know, or know who it belongs to, please let me know as soon as possible.

Second, I wanted to ask about the Ingress. From what I've read and been told, it opens once every month, at the beginning of that month. Now, I've only been here a month — can anyone with more experience tell me if it's normal or not that it hasn't opened by now?

Well, that's what I was trying to do. I was trying out a couple of things I thought might at least stabilise it.

If it starts up again when we leave, though, it's probably just the Ingress here throwing it off.

Well, it looks like it's pretty stable right now. [As in, nothing is happening, which is certainly a kind of stability!]

Maybe it has programming that sets it up to launch only once a month, and the planetary Ingress threw it off. It'd be interesting to see if it starts up as soon as we pull away, though. [beat;] How much do we know about these Ingresses, anyways?

Not much. I don't think the captains know anything either, and I haven't got to talk to anybody who works with planetary Ingresses. Maybe somebody should ask the woman here, she might be able to tell us a few things.

You know, at first I thought it was kind of strange the captains didn't know anything about the Ingress, but then I got to thinking... We do the same thing with relays back home.

[Maybe the Reapers made the Ingress.
Maybe that's a thought no one should ever have again.]

She seems pretty agreeable, it might be worth an ask. What to ask, though? Has there ever been any history of... disruption? Not sure enough ships fly by her unmarked planet to provide any data, though.

[As soon as Tali mentions it, Shepard looks directly at her compatriot, and knows they're thinking the same thing.]

That's not something I thought about before. Pretty unsettling.

Maybe not that many, but it might still be worth mentioning it. If it's happened before, even once, it's...something to go on.

[Right? Maybe? She shrugs - or at least twists her face in a way analogous to a shrug.]

We're a whole universe away. It's not possible.

[Try sounding a bit more certain there, Tali.]

[She nods slowly at the screen in response to the first thought, but she's clearly more stuck on the second.]

A lot of things have been crossing over between these universes, Tali. Wars, struggles, humans... I think it's worth not ruling it out.

It might not be... [the Reapers] the same beings, but it might be a similar M.O. You've been aboard longer than I have, though, and you've probably had the best chance to look at our on-board Ingress, as an engineer. Any thoughts?
