Morning of 04/16, Video

[The feed opens to the look of an extremely unamused looking little girl. Her hair is a mess, her face is red and her nose is bleeding more than a little. An unusual look for her - it's almost as if a moderate-sized animal approached her in the corridors earlier this morning and proceeded to headbutt her straight in the face.

In fact, that's precisely what happened. It turns out that a live goat found it's way on board the Moira via the Ingress, and decided to attack the first person it saw as it made its way down the ship's corridors. Needless to say, Robin isn't having a good morning at all.

The camera on her MID changes focus from Robin's face to a little bit beside her, where said goat is now on the floor, restrained by a dozen or so pairs of human arms growing out of the ship's deck, all holding on to the goat very tightly. It... doesn't exactly seem comfortable with this situation, although the animal seems to have ceased struggling for now.]

I found some rations for the ship today. Is there a place for me to put this?

[Ordinarily, she'd be a little embarrassed about letting the whole ship see her in this state, but not today. Today she had to fight a goat before she even had a chance to get breakfast - she just wants this thing out of her hands as quickly as possible.]

Ah, a negotiation. By all means, work should be appreciated.

[His isn't, not very often. And he does have a soft spot, where it comes to rebellious young people- mostly from guilt, admittedly.

If they're negotiating, that means starting with a low offer. He isn't that generous, after all, not usually.]

Cookies, and a place to hide should you so need it? And a little gratitude, which is a highly rare resource when it comes from me. I don't need them terribly badly, it's merely useful not to have to try everything myself.

I don't have anything to hide from. [That isn't true, but she doesn't know that her posters will be sent out tomorrow. Even if she did, though, she probably wouldn't accept that offer - she's got no reason to believe this guy wouldn't sell her out, after all.] I don't need cookies either.

Do you have any canned or jarred food? Something that will last a while. I'll do it for some of that.

Everyone has something to hide, sooner or later. And secrets... have a nasty way of getting out.

[But very well, he can accept that. He wouldn't trust himself, either.]

Very little of it. But yes, I can scrounge some up- and perhaps tell you where the bulk food containers are. Plain pasta and rice isn't terribly nice, but it is easy to make, and the dry stuff almost never goes off. I'll even find you some empty jars to store some in, if that helps. Frankly, you may as well accept the cookies, they're free. I make them for certain people anyway.

[That's... a foreboding thing to say, Loki. Of course, it's also vague enough that Robin can't write off the possibility that this guy is just self-important.]

[She's especially pleased that he doesn't want to know what she wants to o with this food. It's probably obvious enough that she's planning something with it, but she appreciates the lack of questions.]

And if you're just giving the cookies away, I'll take some of those too.

[Loki is generally very self-important, and also has a lot of secrets he's well aware will probably come out one day.]

Excellent. Come find me in the kitchens, should you want to try a culinary adventure or two.

[Oh, he's curious, but really- stocking up on food is hardly a crime, is it? And it would be so much easier to get the answers in casual conversation.]

I generally am. I bake for the cafe, which I'm fairly sure you work in, and I almost always have leftovers which I save for one or two visitors.

[She's honestly kind of surprised. Not because he doesn't look like he's good at baking, but rather because feeding the entire crew and making baked goods for a completely unnecessary cafe on the side seems like a lot of work.]

I do. Honestly, much of the actual cooking is done by all these kitchen assistants I keep getting stuck with, so it's nice to be able to actually make something occasionally.

[More often than not, bulk cooking is mostly "cut these things up and cook them as I tell you", which is mostly easy to leave to other people. And he always was more fond of gourmet cooking...]

It's probably good that you don't have to cook for the whole crew by yourself, though.

[She certainly wouldn't want to be saddled with that much responsibility, and she's a lot better at multitasking than most people.]
