Morning of 04/16, Video
[The feed opens to the look of an extremely unamused looking little girl. Her hair is a mess, her face is red and her nose is bleeding more than a little. An unusual look for her - it's almost as if a moderate-sized animal approached her in the corridors earlier this morning and proceeded to headbutt her straight in the face.
In fact, that's precisely what happened. It turns out that a live goat found it's way on board the Moira via the Ingress, and decided to attack the first person it saw as it made its way down the ship's corridors. Needless to say, Robin isn't having a good morning at all.
The camera on her MID changes focus from Robin's face to a little bit beside her, where said goat is now on the floor, restrained by a dozen or so pairs of human arms growing out of the ship's deck, all holding on to the goat very tightly. It... doesn't exactly seem comfortable with this situation, although the animal seems to have ceased struggling for now.]
I found some rations for the ship today. Is there a place for me to put this?
[Ordinarily, she'd be a little embarrassed about letting the whole ship see her in this state, but not today. Today she had to fight a goat before she even had a chance to get breakfast - she just wants this thing out of her hands as quickly as possible.]

video;
— Oh, Merlin. ]
I, ah. That is to say. [ A very harried teenager looms hastily into the frame. For once in his loquacious life, he's at a loss for words. Wasn't one goat enough. ] Are you alright?
[ Better than fessing up, just yet. ]
If you can tell me where you are, I have some experience with. These...these sorts of livestock.
[ He dearly hopes Gellert isn't reading this. ]
video;
[She's pretty sure her nose isn't broken, at least, even if it's bleeding a bit more than she's happy with. She doesn't want to wipe it with her sleeve, though...]
Oh? Are you a butcher, then?
[Because that's the only experience with livestock she cares about right now, sorry Albus.]

[ A pause. But there's a kid, bleeding, and that means the time for pride is past. ]
...I believe her name is Vivian. I ought to be able to take care of this — and your nose, if you'd like.
[ He doesn't seem particularly perturbed by the hands, but regardless: Please don't strangle a goat, small child. ]
no subject
...this is your goat.
[The disdain she feels for this man in this moment should be pretty obvious. This dude needs to keep better track of his goats.]
no subject
[ You could say his words are a little sheepish. ]
One came through the portal with me. Gawain. [ Robin doesn't need to know all their names, dude. ] She must have been delayed.
She's — [ Usually better behaved? Now there's a lie. ] — Typically my brother's responsibility.
[ Back in Godric's Hollow, that sentence alone would have explained a great deal. He's never expected to have to say it anywhere else. ]
Really, ah. I'll be on my way — I'm terribly sorry you had to meet her first —

[ She's bluffing, mostly. Annoyed as she is with the goat, it isn't in Robin's nature to hurt an animal like this. Not when she doesn't have to, at least.]
Protein is important for long voyages, like we're on. Do you have anything to trade for her?
no subject
[He shudders. His brother's goats are also larger and nastier, like most things in Asgard, but no need to point that out and potentially offend anyone just yet.]
Sadly, it seems the owner has claimed that one, but for next time... well, I'm sure I can find some way of storing goat. And cooking it, although goat isn't precisely an interesting meat.

[Her expression and tone are completely deadpan, but in all honesty she's half joking. She won't kill some stranger's pet out of spite, even if she isn't particularly bothered by the idea of biting into a goatburger a la Vivian.]
no subject
[He smiles crookedly, tone still light, just a regular conversation about slightly illegal things.]
Besides, I'm not entirely out of my supply of not-actually-bacon yet. Goat is something of a last resort meat.
no subject
[Not that either of them would actually care if a crime were being committed, of course, but she has yet to realize that that's the kind of person that Loki is.]
If you say so. Seems pretty wasteful to turn away free supplies, though. Especially when you have so many mouths to feed.
no subject
[He's just saying. Even that might not bother him, if he wouldn't be so very easily linked to the loss. Free supplies are free supplies, after all, and goats are unpleasant at the best of times.]
We're doing fairly well on supplies, actually, at least in quantity. Quality is something I can't promise, although I do try everything out before I make it in bulk. Speaking of which, if you're ever hungry or bored, I do need some experimental food testers.
no subject
After a second or two, though, she reconsiders.]
If you need food testers, then you should be willing to pay for them. What would I get out of it?
no subject
[His isn't, not very often. And he does have a soft spot, where it comes to rebellious young people- mostly from guilt, admittedly.
If they're negotiating, that means starting with a low offer. He isn't that generous, after all, not usually.]
Cookies, and a place to hide should you so need it? And a little gratitude, which is a highly rare resource when it comes from me. I don't need them terribly badly, it's merely useful not to have to try everything myself.
no subject
Do you have any canned or jarred food? Something that will last a while. I'll do it for some of that.
no subject
[But very well, he can accept that. He wouldn't trust himself, either.]
Very little of it. But yes, I can scrounge some up- and perhaps tell you where the bulk food containers are. Plain pasta and rice isn't terribly nice, but it is easy to make, and the dry stuff almost never goes off. I'll even find you some empty jars to store some in, if that helps. Frankly, you may as well accept the cookies, they're free. I make them for certain people anyway.
no subject
...you've got a deal.
[She's especially pleased that he doesn't want to know what she wants to o with this food. It's probably obvious enough that she's planning something with it, but she appreciates the lack of questions.]
And if you're just giving the cookies away, I'll take some of those too.
no subject
Excellent. Come find me in the kitchens, should you want to try a culinary adventure or two.
[Oh, he's curious, but really- stocking up on food is hardly a crime, is it? And it would be so much easier to get the answers in casual conversation.]
I generally am. I bake for the cafe, which I'm fairly sure you work in, and I almost always have leftovers which I save for one or two visitors.
no subject
[She's honestly kind of surprised. Not because he doesn't look like he's good at baking, but rather because feeding the entire crew and making baked goods for a completely unnecessary cafe on the side seems like a lot of work.]
...your cookies are pretty good.
no subject
[More often than not, bulk cooking is mostly "cut these things up and cook them as I tell you", which is mostly easy to leave to other people. And he always was more fond of gourmet cooking...]
Thank you. I do try, after all.
no subject
[She certainly wouldn't want to be saddled with that much responsibility, and she's a lot better at multitasking than most people.]
