Hey, everyone.

[ Wash greets anyone watching casually and even offers a little wave. There's a slight smile, but it's nothing much, and his eyes have telling dark circles beneath them, a show of lack of sleep. ]

So, uh. Things are kind of shitty right now. At least, that's the way I'm looking at it, but maybe some of you have different thoughts on everything that's happening.

In any case, I thought it might be nice to have even just a tiny distraction. A short time where we can maybe feel okay for a bit, or even enjoy something. So. Basically, I got a huge package of Girl Scout cookies in the mail when it came. Ten boxes of each flavour. If anyone wants a box or two, feel free to reply here or even come and find me. We could also just sit around somewhere, snacking on some cookies and talking if you want.

[ He's not going to admit it here, but he wouldn't mind having a little cookie picnic with someone, or even a couple someones. Being alone is kind of hard right now--he's got too many thoughts in his head. But mostly, he just wants to cheer some people up, including himself, and this is the only way he has to even try doing that right now. ]

I know it's nothing much, but I figured even something small would be a nice change from the mess that this month has been.

[ Wash smiles a little more genuinely, then leans out of frame to grab one of the requested boxes and set it off to the side. He's...going to need to keep track of what's been spoken for, after all.

Then he's back in frame, nodding in response to the comment. ]

An excessive amount. Ten boxes of each eight flavours. I thought it was a joke when I went down to the cargo bay after hearing I had a package down there.

Best not to look gift snacks in the mouth, I'd say. There's definitely worse surprises to get. Sets a nice precedent too; who knows when you're going to get something like that?

Yeah, there are definitely worse things to get in the mail than this. But I can only eat so many, and it feels wrong to not at least offer to share with the rest of the crew.

Sure, whenever you feel like it. I'll be in Mero Deck, room 008 for most of the day, so stop by when you want. Depending on how many people respond to this, I might even be able to give you a second box, if you want.

I sort of wonder what the worst things people've got are. Is there some sort of hall of fame for it? There should be.

[He's not entirely sure how the mail works around here, but apparently it's a mix of things you want and bizarre things out of nowhere. And the latter just seems like the source of plenty of good stories.]

That'd be interesting. Someone should make a post over the network asking what the worst thing everyone's ever got in the mail is.

[ Maybe next time he feels like interacting with everyone willing to participate, he'll make that post. But for now, Wash will just remain entertained by the ideas of what could possibly come in the mail.

If the Moira can get him ten boxes of all eight flavours of Girl Scout cookies, there doesn't seem like much of a limit to what else could be brought in. ]

That'd be fun. I haven't been around long enough to get anything extremely weird, but who knows what I've got ahead of me? Maybe that's the real exciting part of the post; wondering just what you're about to get.

[Getting his chair from his childhood had been weird, but not eighty boxes of cookies weird. Someday, though, he'll probably discover a strange thing or two.]

Heh, maybe. If it took a turn into speculation, it'd be entertaining just to see what people come up with.

[ Would it be weirder than what the Moira delivers? Anyone who could come up with something that weird would have to win a prize of some kind. ]

Oh, uh, thanks. [ Awkward running of a hand through his hair. ] I hope so, but really if I can improve even just a few minutes of one person's day, that's all I need.

[ Not that appreciation goes unappreciated, it's just that he's not doing it for said appreciation is all. ]

Could start some sort of betting pool, see if you can figure out exactly what weird things you're going to get. Or, even, just see who can come up with the weirdest thing. Could make it a competition.

[Probably unlikely to really happen, but still fun to think about.]
