I got something in the mail from home that got me thinking about a few things:

- Has anyone ever made it back to their own time/place?

- Has anyone ever escaped and been recaptured by the Moira? If they have, did time move at all while they were away from home?

If you don't know, I'm also curious about the general morale. Do you like/dislike the ship? Why?

[Miller knows by now, if he remembers, things will be different when he goes back. How different, he doesn't know yet. But that's the thing about making peace, living up to your name. He has to want more people to live.]

[He can. As someone whose glasses were left among a pile of dismembered limbs, he knows very well what that means.]

Frank Jaeger. Kid's been through a lot. Promised I wouldn't leave him again, but here I am.

[There's something about that that makes him quietly bristle inside, mostly the promises at never leaving someone. But there's too much at risk for him to react to that. To let his abandonment issues speak loudly here. He'll deal with it later on his own time.]

[well kaz, john may have left you behind once, but he's left frank behind three times now. and twice he was subjected to horrible experiments by the US government. so there's that.]

I met him in '66, when he was 11. Found him in Mozambique cutting down Portuguese officers. I tried to give him a better life by handing him over to the US, but it didn't work. They experimented on him, something about the perfect soldier. I found him again a year ago after he escaped the last attempt and he's been with me since then.

I think we'll end up going back to where we came from. Both time and location. It should be fine.

I hope so. Jaeger's an amazing soldier, but he has a rough time leading. Maybe my whole squad is dead already.
