I can't claim to have considered all of our options, but I suspect our best chance for success will require compromise.

A synthetic alternative might do the trick. Without knowing too much about the materials they're harvesting it could be a stretch. It may not be replicable.

Education certainly can't hurt; if everyone understands what's at stake, then the decision to continue hunting becomes that much harder. Based on past experience, I don't imagine great success with this option.

Immediate intervention by the crew isn't out of the question, either. It's the least likely to succeed and stemming this type of thinking aboard the Moira will prove to be difficult. This is not an option I would personally recommend.

This is hardly a comprehensive list, and without hearing the issues from all sides, it's going to be difficult to decide the most appropriate route.

Well, you've only just mentioned this to me. I had my own suspicions and I've already been working to preserve life here — unsuccessfully, it appears — but these things do take time.

I can only hope it takes less time to resolve than it appears we have. I'm not fond of facing certain death.
