I need a healer right now. I can't move him.
[There's no joke, no goofy font, and no time for playing around.]
Palatino is not a monster.

[He tilts his head to the side, lips pressed together.]
Besides, when else to do it?

[He pulls a face. Honestly, the glimpses into its head Wanda had shown him had been... a little too familiar, when it came to his own past life.]
I know evil a little better than most, and that thing is evil. A monster in the sense of the word I know, and I don't use the term lightly.

hey. i'm sorry for biting your head off last night.
i, uh, saw inside it too. its soul, i mean. i don't know if you're the person to talk to about this, but i don't think it was always like this. a "monster" by your terms, that is.
in fact, i know it wasn't.

My head is still attached, and I've heard far worse, trust me.
[He tilts his head a little, looking thoughtful. It had been a while since Wanda had shown him, after all,but he'd rather had the impression it had never been terribly pleasant to begin with, despite the mask.]
That depends. I can't see in heads, no, but someone shared what they'd seen, and I rather got the impression it was always a monster. It just didn't used to look like one. Not exactly an unusual state of affairs, really.
[There's a lot of people hiding bad things behind smiling faces. Loki would, after all, know.]

[What, him? Baggage? Nah. Thanks Chara.]
kinda worries me, though. don't know why whatever turned him into that couldn't happen again.

[He'd be a little offended if anyone thought he was human, honestly. Not as much as he used to be, though. There are worse things than human.]
Mmm, the captains were very cagey about the whole affair. We didn't get terribly many answers from them. Still, I'd hope there are few enough people like that on board now.

oh, i can think of a few.

[He's locking this now, not wanting to antagonise Chara. Not because he's concerned about potential repercussions, but because he'd as soon not have them hear themselves being discussed. That sort of thing leaves a mark.]
She reminds me very much of Loki, in some ways.

are you speaking in the third person or is loki a real common name where you're from? 'cuz if it's the former, i can't say i see the resemblance.
private;
[He's... mostly talking in third person. Loki's relationship with who he was is complicated, though, and he's not exactly the Loki he was, so it's only half a lie. Maybe three quarters.]
The Loki who was, the one before me, was somewhat more inclined to lash out when he deemed things unfair. Without much regard for who he hurt or what he destroyed in the process, either. I know humanesque monsters, because he was one- and people expect me to be very much the same.

[Perhaps bad experience is clouding Sans' ability to accept the comparison. Nevertheless, he remains unconvinced.]
is that what you wanna be?
