He types and deletes a bunch of times, unhappy with most of the reasons he tries to give for asking the question. This one makes him sound too weak, this one makes him sound too ignorant, this one just makes him sound stupid. Eventually he settles for...well, nothing. He just gives up and hits send.]

no, it's kind of hard to explain. it just feels more sciency than magical. it's not like i just take off or anything. i have to my mind to lift myself, which sounds easy but it's kind of like using a muscle?

it didn't start off easy. but i practiced it enough to grow stronger pretty fast.

yeah. i've only been able to do it for like a month. maybe a little less.

there was this glowing crystal rock. it gave me nosebleeds and also powers, to make a long story short.

it's too big. it also was caved in so i never saw it again.

I'm guessing it was a special glowing rock, or that wouldn't be a problem. There's plenty of glowing ones back in my world.

do they do anything besides glow? have you ever touched one?

They don't. Touch makes them brighter, sometimes, but nothing else.
