sooo what kind of powers do you guys have? were you born with them or get them in some freak incident or what?

[He pauses as he types out the text, considering if he should be honest about his intentions or not. It's not like he had any sinister plans or anything. It's just a matter of being private. But he doesn't want to sound too weird or shady. This sounds shady doesn't it??

He types and deletes a bunch of times, unhappy with most of the reasons he tries to give for asking the question. This one makes him sound too weak, this one makes him sound too ignorant, this one just makes him sound stupid. Eventually he settles for...well, nothing. He just gives up and hits send.]

[He's not gonna lie that sounds pretty cool.]

uh i don't know if you'd call it magic. i'm not sure what it is to be honest. i think it may be more sciencey?

[That's debatable, but he's proud of them.]

[He's a teenage boy from a fairly normal world. He's easily impressed!]

do you think he would know about like, moving stuff with your mind?

REALLY??

I MEAN, OF COURSE! WHERE ARE YOU?

[He'll get back to the other issue in a moment, he never misses an opportunity to impress.]

[You are one excited skeleton, sir.

Okay maybe Andrew is a little excited too. Just a little.]

i'm in my room but we could be somewhere with more room. i dont know do you think you'd need a lot of room?

[He keeps his promise - when Andrew shows up there's a very tall skeleton already there, checking out the view. It never changes, but it's still exciting to him.]

Ah, there you are! Wowie, you must have come straight here. Such anticipation, but worry not! I won't make you wait to see what I can do!

[Andrew is always a little...what's the word? Suspicious? Weirded out? Taken aback? when someone invites him anywhere. Whether it's just to show him something or to go hang out, friendliness in general - it's just not something he's used to.

He's definitely not used to it from a skeleton.

When Andrew arrives he tries really hard not to stare. It's not like he didn't already know but seeing it in person is totally different.]

Oh, uh yeah. [Okay, okay, no. He's getting over it now. HE'S GOOD.] So, alright...show me what you got then.

[Fortunately for Andrew, it's a reaction Papyrus has become very familiar with. He turns around, striking a few totally cool poses.

Soak it in, Andrew.]

Never seen a skeleton walk and talk on his own before, have you? Well! Feast your eyes upon the great Papyrus!

[This is real life. This is really happening. Andrew has to consistently remind himself of the fact.

His mouth opens and closes a moment before he manages to string together words.]

Um, I have not, no.

[He's posing. He's posing.

WHY DOESN'T HE HAVE HIS VIDEO CAMERA???

At the very least once he gets a little passed the shock of seeing the skeleton pose right before him he looks more intrigued than shocked.]

--Dude, that's...I don't know what I was expecting.

Well, now we've met! And from now on, you'll know exactly what to expect! Namely, a cool skeleton who is very great.

[He looks so very pleased with himself.]

Oh, right! You wanted to see my magic, didn't you?

[Andrew's eyes dart around the surrounding area. He's just curious if he's the only one witnessing this.

But yes, back to it.]

Um, yeah. I'm really curious.

[Especially now. He takes a couple of steps back to give him room, not sure what he's going to do exactly, and gestures with his arms for Papyrus to do...whatever it is he's going to do.]

Wonder no longer! Behold!

[With a grand gesture, Papyrus calls a few lines of bones into existence. Some sets are white, some are blue, some stretch and bend around him, and the last set is arranged to spell out the words HELLO FRIEND.]

Take care not to touch any, they are attacks!

[Andrew stares with his mouth slightly agape, leaning in to see the bones but not getting too close as per his warning.]

...Holy shit, that's - holy shit. [That's so cool.] Uh, how do you attack with them? What do they do?

[HE WANTS TO KNOW MOAR.]

[Papyrus would scold him for the language, but they've only just met, and also he's a little too pleased about what a hit his powers were with this guy.]

I use them in combat, mostly! If we ever spar, you should pay close attention. The normal ones hit like a regular attack, but the blue ones won't hurt you if you stand absolutely still!

[Sorry he is a dumb teenage boy Papyrus.]

That's...pretty awesome. But I don't really, uh, spar though?

[How does one fight and restrain from seriously hurting someone at the same time?]

Really? Because you don't know how, or because your sciency magic doesn't work that way?

[Because he could probably teach you!]

I think it's kind of both. Like, I don't really fight unless I have to. And um, I don't know how sparing would work with like, what I do.

[Sparing is actually a frightening thought.]

Wowie! That must be some power, even though I don't think you've told me yet what you... do?

[The last part said a little uncertainly. What's your secret, friend?]

Oh.

[He's been so focused on other people's powers he kind of lost track of who he told and who he was unintentionally vague with. He rubs the back of his head as he looks around.]

Um...

[He spots a conveniently placed trash can that's totally always there and extends his arm towards it, open palm. He makes a lifting gesture with his hand as the bin proceeds to float off the ground.]

That.

Wowie, that's so near! My brother can do something similar, just with people!

[Papyrus could too, in all honesty, but he doesn't want to risk hurting anyone by throwing them into walls or making them fall from the ceiling. He only drops people the relatively safe distance to the floor.]

Is that your limit? How much can you pick up?

I can pick up a lot. Like, a lot. [Once again quick to answer any question that makes him sound strong.] I can pick up people too. It's how I fly.

[Throwing people into walls is an effective way of dealing with assholes and troublemakers. Andrew endorses this.

But hearing that there are others like him always fills Andrew with this weird sort of hope.]

And you can fly?! That's astounding! You must have so much fun with powers like those!

[Seriously, that sounds even cooler than bone magic or soul manipulation, and Papyrus is proud of his powers.]

[Oh no Andrew actually feels himself smiling a little. But he doesn't really know what to do with compliments so he just looks down at his feet bashfully.]

Yeah. It's pretty fun to just...fly around and stuff. [Of course now he's thinking of flying around with Matt and Steve and it makes him feel a pit in his stomach.]

But like, the bone thing is really awesome too.
