IT STARTED WHEN I WAS AROUND YOUR AGE. OR THAT'S WHEN I FIRST DISCOVERED IT. MAYBE IT WAS ALWAYS THERE. THERE WAS THIS GANG, A BUNCH OF VIOLENT, BIGOTED DRUGGIES. YOU KNOW, TOTAL WASTE OF OXYGEN TYPES. THEY TRIED TO GET ME INVOLVED IN THEIR SHIT BUT I REFUSED. SO THEY CAUGHT ME IN AN ALLEYWAY ONE DAY AND WERE TOTALLY THRASHING ME WHEN BOOM. PROBLEM SOLVED.

A BIT OF BOTH, PROBABLY. I MEAN, I WAS DEFINITELY KIND OF PISSED BECAUSE BASEBALL BATS REALLY HURT AND I DON'T LIKE IT VERY MUCH WHEN PEOPLE HIT ME WITH ONE. BUT I WAS TOTALLY AFRAID I WAS GOING TO BITE IT, TOO, END UP JUST A SMASHED UP PULP IN A DIRTY ALLEY.

PROBABLY. I KNOW THAT I CAN'T JUST DO IT ON COMMAND AT ALL. IT ONLY HAPPENS WHEN PEOPLE ARE, LIKE, SHOOTING AT ME OR RUNNING AT ME WITH MACHETES, THAT KIND OF THING.

what about the healing thing? can you do that on command or does that happen naturally?

IT HAPPENS NATURALLY, BUT NOT ALL THE TIME. I CAN'T HEAL UP JUST ANY OLD PAPER CUT. I THINK IT'S ALSO TRIGGERED BY THE STRESS OF NEAR-DEATH, LIKE THE RADIATION BLAST.

[Andrew hesitates answering only for a moment. It's not like he has to keep it some big secret here. He didn't really care much about all the, "don't tell anyone", "don't use it in public", etc rules that Matt made up. Not that he would have ran to tell anyone at home, but in a place where someone like him wasn't all that abnormal why should he hide it?

Also, he's not worried about this information somehow being used against him. Someone could try, but he's confident it wouldn't end well for them.]

my friends and i got really close to this glowing crystal thing and i don't know...it happened kind of fast but our noses bled and we got knocked out by something.
