[The transmission opens to a shot of Pepper in the gardens, featuring a wide open area of green that she means to transform in the next 24 hours or so. She honestly a little nervous about making this announcement--it's entirely possible that more of the crew are tired than not, and she certainly can't blame them. They've just been through something pretty trying, and there's the distinct chance that some would rather shut out any hints of the particular holiday coming up rather than celebrate it.

But for those that might, albeit in a less than traditional way, Pepper wants to put something together. She also wants to make her job worth something, and after the whole mess on Emiri, the crew needs a break.]

Good afternoon, Moira crew. I'm Pepper Potts, the Chief Morale Officer on board. For those of you not aware, tomorrow is February 14th. On Earth this is an annual holiday called Valentine's Day, which celebrates romantic partnerships. I'm very aware that most of us are probably tired of being forced into some sort of connection thanks to our recent encounter with Link'd and all that entailed, but I'd still like to put something together to celebrate--not necessarily romance, but friendship and camaraderie as well.

The idea that even so far from home, we're not alone.

[Never mind the murder that's happened among the crew or other rumored attacks. They need something to counter that, otherwise this trip is going to be all the worse.]

With that in mind, I'd like to put together a sort of dinner and dance, or a dinner and enjoy-the-music night, if that's more your speed. It'll be held in the gardens thanks to permission from our caretaker, and everyone is welcome to come, provided you have medical clearance and are not otherwise assigned to some sort of duty. Those of you who are supposed to be in the mess hall are not excused as per the Captains--[oh, and that gets a tight smile; Pepper had tried to get them a night off, but no luck]--but you may trade shifts if you wish to attend.

Of course, since this is all last minute, I need some help as well. [And here she references a list, because what is Pepper Potts without her paperwork?] All Morale staff, if you would please check-in; there's plenty of work to be done, provided you're able. I'd also like to get with whoever is in charge of the mess hall to see what sort of meal can be put together; if nothing else, I'd like a way to serve at least some of dinner out here. If someone or several someones can provide bartending services that would be very helpful, and of course there is setting up before hand and cleaning up afterwards.

I'm also in the market for music, decorations, tables, chairs--pretty much anything you can think of. [Well, she did say this is last minute, right? And unfortunately, Pepper lacks her contact list of vendors from home. She honestly hates going about something like this in such a fashion, no planning, no resources, but it's important--not just for the crew, but for herself.

Otherwise she's going to spend Valentine's and the hours leading up to it focusing on the fact that her boyfriend got impaled, and no one really wants that.]

Thank you in advance for your time and efforts. Hopefully any future events of this nature won't be quite as impromptu, but I think that we can still pull together something good. I'll be in the gardens should anyone want to contact me in person.

Oh, it's Great Morale Officer now, is it? [She grins as she asks; if he wants to call himself that, by all means. It just means Pepper's going to have to expect more of him.]

That's good to hear. I'll see if we can't find someone to trade duties with you tomorrow, since I suspect it's mostly going to be us setting up. I'd also like to get your input on anything you might think the party needs. I've got some experience setting up things like these, but not exactly in this setting.

[When Frisk sees the message go up, rather than answer by text they hurry down to the garden themself, pausing just outside the door to try and scrub away their tears before walking in. They have a job to do, after all, regardless of how dead Chara still is or how still in space jail Sans is.]

[She's more than a little surprised to see a small child walking up to her. Beyond that, it seems they're here to offer help. She smiles down at the newcomer, crouching a bit so she can be closer to eye-level with them.]

That's very generous of you. [Once she does move closer, Pepper notices the tell-tale signs of tears, which of course warrants her concern. First thing first, however; she holds out a hand to the child.] I'm afraid I don't know your name, but please. Call me Pepper.

[Frisk manages a small smile, taking her hand and shaking it.] Okay. Um...my name is Frisk. I'm a 'ssistant Morale Officer. [They probably should have mentioned that part first, whoops.]

It's Valentine's day already? Huh, weird. [Considering that it was about a month ago it was still mid April to her.]

I suppose I'm fortunate; my arrival on the ship fell on nearly the same day it was for me back home.

[But just talking to the people from her world makes it clear that Pepper's an exception to the general rule in this case.]

That's rather generous of you. Do you have experience performing?

I could play guitar or piano, if we could move the one I got into the mess hall! It's really cool looking, anyway.

Well, most of us have had "morale officer" in our titles, but anything that focuses on raising the spirits of the crew probably qualifies.

[Aka you're hired, Steven. After all, a nymph fits in perfectly with the skeleton and the small child, so why not?]

Actually, we'd have to move it into the gardens, but that might be possible. [It would definitely be if almost all of the heavy lifters she knows hadn't gotten injured on Emiri, good job there Avengers.] A guitar would definitely be easier to manage, but let's see what we can do.

We do, although arguably the holiday is more focused on companies gaining profit from what sales there are to be made in celebration of romantic partnerships.

Still, it's a sweet thought, and a nice excuse to spend time with someone you care about.

Thank you. Although from the sounds of it, I won't have to work very hard to surpass my predecessor.

[Still, there's no logic in trying to take over. For better or worse, there's likely no one else on the ship who knows where they even are, much less how to get where they're supposed to be going.]

There may not be enough time for that, I'm afraid, although it's something to keep in mind for future endeavors. I've gotten a reply from a young man who says he's been assigned to play music as part of his job; maybe you two could get in touch and arrange something for a later date?

He might even be able to help you play again. We have a piano, and there have been pieces composed for a single hand.

[Maya's still trying to get used to this place. And a stubborn part of her is trying to resist getting used to it because this isn't her kriffing home. And that creeping reality is making her feel uncomfortable.

What Pepper's describing has a ring of familiarity to it. Dancing and music. That's very much a part of her life. Part of her life back at Pryce's club, to be specific. And if she can clutch the familiar, maybe she won't entirely drown in this place.

So here she is on the network, a girl all of nineteen, wearing just her thermo. Her hair is long and brown, with a single braid over her right shoulder. She's pretty, but in an intentionally 'trashy' sort of way, at the moment. A bit heavy on the makeup.]

Well, the idea was more to encourage other people to dance, but it might not hurt to have someone who's willing to get things started in that area. [Of course, that all depends on the variety of dance this girl is going for. She's too young for the impression she's giving off, at least in Pepper's mind, but still. She wants to handle this professionally, and more importantly, with respect.]

Do you mind if I ask what kind of dancing you have experience with?

If you need help with the decorations, I can help. I'm really good with flower chains, but I don't think we have enough flowers.

Actually, I may be able to rectify that. [Thanks to Steven, who can coax flowers to grow at will.] As it turns out, we've got access to a larger supply of flowers than one might think.

[The mention of living heavy things does draw her attention though. She knows not to make assumptions about strength based on size or voice timber, but it's still a little hard not to doubt.] There's plenty of tables and chairs to be positioned, so if you're willing to help there I'd be thankful. Someone's suggested bringing a piano down, but I'm not sure how that would work out just yet.

"Valentine's Day"? On Azeroth, we've been having something similar, around this time. There are chocolates and stuff. [Med'an has never been in love yet, but he likes the idea of a holiday for romance and friendship. And chocolate.]
