[ Sam is actually in the midst of packing his meager campsite up, but he's taking time to record this message. Even if he has to talk over that constant low-level hum. ]

Alright, kids, everybody out of the pool. Yeah If you're not already on the Moira you need to be, because Emiri wants to scapegoat us.

People are already getting thrown in jail so we need to be gone. Now. This message is going to repeat so you get annoyed enough? That's good. Means you might move it faster.

[ He's really not kidding either. And if you thought other messages about cross moms or teleportation were bad, give this one a loop or two. ]

[The plot thickens. Maya's been pretty busy being petulant, but the broadcast catches her attention.

So she flips on her own feed.]

Exactly what are you all being scapegoated for?

[ Good luck with that. Sam's answer is short succinct and he only bring's his MID up long enough to give it. She doesn't even get the courtesy of him looking at the camera. ]

Murder of the guy who basically owned the planet.

Huh.

[She lets out a low whistle.]

No offense, but how do you know one of us didn't do it?

Because the body got mailed here in a box, the guy was tortured to death and he had 'St. Murtel' carved into him.

[ You must be new. Sam's smirk says it all ( and he still hasn't looked at the camera) because if there were anyone actually being murdered on this ship they know about it. And then it would be like hornets protecting a hive; woe to the murderer. ]

[She gives him a bit of a glare. No one treats Maya like a child. You wipe that smirk off your face, bantha fodder.]

What does 'St. Murtel' mean, exactly?

[ Sam is good at only two things; computers and pissing people off. ]

It's a city on Emiri.

Huh. That's convenient. You don't hear about a lot of bounty hunters neatly labeling their fresh kills.

Must mean law enforcement is really lax.

Try non-existent. Far as I can tell it's mob rule.

[ He thought whoever had the most money would win it, but that pretty much got scrapped. ]

Seriously? How is this planet still in one piece?

[Of course, she's coming from the context of the Galatic Empire. Which probably isn't much better. But at least it's a lot less noisy.]

Why did the ship even dock on this kriffing planet?

Because this happened while we were here? It was like some mutant Perfect Storm of conditions just waiting below the surface. In the meantime the Moira was getting all the bad press. Then this corpse showed up and that was it.

Whatever law there was got toppled and mob mentality pretty much took over.

[ Now Sam looks at the camera, finally. ]

[Maya looks right back at him, under heavy-lidded green eyes. She's not a bad person, really. Just kind of abrasive. And resentful at the moment. But there seems to be a lot of that going around.]

What kind of species inhabits the planet? Are they human?

Seem human. At least human enough for matchmaking.

[ That had been another detail the lot of them had to deal with when they got here. ]

Best way to survive a mob is to try to become part of the mob.

If they're screaming "Death to the Moira," you scream it louder.

[A pause.]

Of course, wearing those uniforms doesn't help.

Believe me. These uniforms might make us stand out in a crowd, but half the time normal clothes would make us stand out in a crowd.

[ You should see what Sam wears under his uniform. ]

I'll have to take your word for that.

[She cracks a wry smile.]

You could always try running around naked.

[ Lara's most likely in a place she ought not to be, so buddy boy, you get text. ]

They're not taking people to regular jails.

That could be a problem. Any idea where people are actually being taken?

... not yet. Look, it got crazy busy all the sudden, so we had to wait to take off.

[ Things would be a lot easier if he could lie to you...]

[Oh hell no, he's not letting another Flynn stay in danger, not while he can do something about it.]

[ This would be the bit where Sam wipes both his hands down his face. ]

[ That probably explains exactly nothing. ]

[No, that explains exactly nothing, and doesn't give Tron any reason not to come out after you at all.]

I've got my lightjet. I can be there in nanos, Sam.

[ See this? This is exactly why Sam doesn't tell people when he does stuff. ]

That's great. What is it you're gonna do, exactly? Fly down here, kick some ass until you figure out where I am...then what? Like Hell I'll leave anybody behind.

[ He'll fight you on this one. ]

[Have a glare through the video feed.]

And then I help you get everyone out, obviously. Do you think I'd be leaving anyone behind either? I'm not just going to pull you out and leave other innocents there.

[You weren't on the last planet, Sam, you didn't see what happened... Tron shakes his head decisively, already on the way to the launch bay.]

You don't have to do this alone.

[ Sam doesn't know what to say to that...so he doesn't say anything at all. He doesn't send a reply back and the video cuts off. Both mean that Tron won the little disagreement, but the lack of reply isn't Sam being angry. He's just awkward. ]

I can confirm this. I was the one to check the mail.

Let's get the hell out of here as soon as we can.

[ See, this is another problem with big, social living; people can become spread out. ]

Anyway there's stragglers apparently, so we have to go find them.

To be honest, I'm a former soldier. [And ex-hitman and assassin.] Probably better me than someone else.

So nice of them to have provided us with housing.

[ Scrambling back to the Moira? Not such an easy task. Being captured and not exactly treated nicely had. . .several drawbacks. A lot of those were wounds so Loki's attention was split between the MID and hauling ass. ]

Instead of broadcasting it might be a good idea to utilize whatever bioscanners the Moira has for any strays.

[ Especially if they're further out, or worse still trapped. If MIDs could track vitals, why not location? ]

Not in the job description sorry. If you're asking for a lock-on, that I can do. But you're gonna have to get yourself out.

[ Mostly because Sam isn't onboard anymore. Plus, the only things he saw in the bow were defensive shields. ]

I'm asking about other people.

[ Great. Is anyone useful on the ship or are they all flying blind? ]

Unless you think your broadcast is going to reach everyone.

If they've got a MID it should hit their device. Might have to hop from device to device, instead of coming down from the ship directly, but it should get there.

[ The captains were the ones directing this hot mess express. Sam was just messing about with the MID's for them. ]
