Hey there! I know things are really hectic right now and everyone's got a lot to do but I'd really like to borrow an ordinary flesh and blood human of reasonably durable constitution for a very short time.
Let's be straightforward: I want to hit you. I promise I won't try to kill you or anything like that, it's just once, and I'll get you something nice to make up for it afterward, I just really really need to hit someone who qualifies. Please don't be unusually fragile or something, I don't want to explain that to whoever might be in charge of organic repairs.
This won't take long I swear. And then we can go back to doing our much more important things!

[She sounds way too pleased about the ducky.]
I'm having a few made. For gifts, in case I make people mad. It was recommended.
[By an alien, but it also gave her a good excuse to go visit someone new, so Capella hadn't hesitated at all.]
Usually, it's someone like you who makes us. A person sits down at a computer and writes up a code, and the code becomes a program. There's more to it than that I think, but I've never actually watched someone get made. We're not usually on this side of things though.. User worlds are for Users.

[He's not sure how she'll get hold of them either, not here, but hey, it's not his problem.
And he maybe has a fondness for rubber ducks.]
That... is not how I've heard it explained before. AIs where I'm from are, well, some of them are programmed. The smart AIs though, they're different.
