Show of hands - who's under twenty and needs help learning how to stab things in the dark?

[ Yes, he's that antsy to do something, that he's volunteering to help and be a contributing member of space society. The things that unresolved abandonment issues and a lack of parental figures will do to a young man, huh? ]

If you raised your hand, you're in luck. I'm teaching the basics of how to not stab yourself on accident and how to defend yourself with random objects. Adults don't have to apply, because if you don't know how to protect yourself at your age then you only have yourself to blame for that. Not that I'll stop you from showing up, though.

That's good, at least. Getting used to the weight is the most tedious part, and when you learn that it gets easier to adjust how fast and how strong you throw the knife back and forth.

Weight is like the first thing I get used to with everything. (Which sounded weird, but when you were small and a breeze could send you flying, it was important in not dying 101.)
