I've been getting pretty vague answers, too. Really sucks on the whole "trying to figure out what's going on" side of things.

I wouldn't know where to start. It's kind of like asking someone what the color blue looks like.

What makes this place different than home?

The aliens, for one thing.
I mean, I'd met aliens before I got here. But we haven't made first contact back home.
Officially, anyway.

So you're secretly meeting aliens, then.

Aliens landed on Earth at some point in our history, but I don't know all the details. And it isn't common knowledge.
I didn't actually meet any until after my friends and I had left the solar system.

It's sort of a long story.
And not what you were asking, I guess.

So your friends, are they the first humans you know of to leave the solar system?

Yep. We have a good space exploration program, but getting a manned mission out to the far edges of the solar system was considered a real achievement.

Are you one of the people on Shiro's team? Sorry if this is confusing, I'm just seeing some similarities between your stories.
