[ Seeing how Mei lives on Chioni with all of four other people, when her dreams have her running to her balcony to be sick over the edge, she doesn't organize a block party afterwards to discuss it. Instead, she goes back inside and creates a cocoon out of the blankets on her bed. She tries to read, but there's a listlessness to her now. A gnawing in her stomach and an odd feeling that feels very... isolating. She shivers and opens up her TAB. There are different kinds of isolation, but the kind that reminds Mei of a cryogenic tube and being the last left alive is the kind that frightens her. She needs to know she isn't alone. ]

Is anyone else awake? Would you like to keep each other company? I woke up not feeling very well and I don't think I could fall asleep right now.

Very much so! Omnics are sentient robots that were built by other robots. There was an omnic war years ago, and still a lot of tension between omnics and humans today with battles breaking out from time to time. Some people think that there's something in the omniums (those are the factories where they build new omnics) that is polluting the atmosphere and causing this climate shift, but I'm not so sure. That's what I'm trying to find out! Or I was, until I ended up here!

I've seen sentient robots but they're really different than that. Their sentience came from demons. Robots building other robots sounds interesting

[He wonders if they have their own whole society, culture, and how many generations there have been. Nyx will refrain from asking all of these questions though, especially over text. He can't expect Mei to write him a novel!]

Sounds like they're making the omnics the scapegoat, not that I know anything about it :P

Oh, no! Demons are just stories where I come from. It must be scary to have real ones.

That's what a lot of people do. I don't really have a problem with them. They can think and feel, just like anybody else. I wish both sides could find peace everywhere, but it seems unlikely.

Demons on my world are really nasty yeah! is your climate research through a company you work for? Or is it more a personal quest?

It used to be! I worked for an organization called Overwatch, but it's been disbanded for years. I'm doing it all on my own now.

[ Which may not be the easiest thing, but Mei enjoys her work and doing what she can to help save the world. ]

What about you? What was your job at home and what do you do here now?

Here I work at a diner, Pax Hamburgana. I do everything. cook,clean,whatever needs done. I'm also part of a rescue org but we haven't done too much yet

Back home I was a member of the Kingsglaive, the King's elite protector force for the kingdom.

Oh, I've heard of it! I've met the owner. I still need to come and have a burger there.

[ Soon! She visits Kauto quite a lot since there's nothing in Chioni but the research facilities. She even has to get her groceries on Kauto. ]

That sounds very impressive! I arrived here when everyone from the ship crash landed on a planet and were picked up by the Ingress techs here. I wasn't on the ship, though, which is a shame! I arrived through a faulty Ingress on the planet. Oh, sorry that didn't answer your question! Sorry! It's been about 4 months.

I heard of the Moira. I still can't believe all this space travel stuff it's a bit mind blowing :) i've been here for like two months. I'm reaching that damned-homesick-stage I think.

Yeah, I was pretty jealous until I realized I could travel through the Ingress and get to visit other worlds that way. Pretty exciting if you ask me!

I do miss home too, but I'm trying to keep myself busy here and have lots of fun. It's a once in a lifetime experience, after all.
