Well you're asking a pretty sweeping question there mate. To err is human and all that, if we went around holding a grudge against every little insult you'd have no mates left to forgive.

I'm not about to declare a personal vendetta over, say, some bloke who didn't put the toilet seat down, but I'm sure as hell going to be pretty squiffy about being matey with someone who tried to kill me.

What of someone who lied? Nothing to endanger you. Or those around you.

Everybody lies. I think forgiving a lie comes down to how much you get hurt by it when the truth comes out. Little white lies to spare someone's feelings are fine. What they don't know doesn't hurt.

We are all a bit guilty of doing that, aren't we?

Like I said: we're only human. Sucks when you get hurt or hurt someone you care about but that's life. We all do it. It doesn't necessarily make you a monster. There's worse things to do to another person than lie to them.
