[The network does start, showing the face of a man who looks to be in his late teens to his early twenties. His face is sun-darkened, his hair dark, his shirt open at the neck, and there is a gleam of gold in his ears. His general air is seemingly playful, as if he is a man that could easily laugh.

Yet the most striking thing about him likely are his eyes. One is gold, and the other silver. He raises an eyebrow a touch, and his mouth shifts into the ghost of a smirk. His voice is gravelly, deep, and there is perhaps a slight lilt to it, when he does finally speak.]

Ah. So it is as simple as the push of a button.

[Although given the look that he is offering, it is fairly clear that Po is not familiar with the item in question.]

When I once said I was more restless than my brothers, I never meant to end up in another universe. The very notion has never once crossed my mind. Rather, it simply meant I preferred to go along my way as I would, through the Seven Kingdoms, perhaps a bit further, if the fancy ever took. Yet, here I am, and I should properly introduce myself.

[There is a motion, and he does come across as quite a social creature, as he bows to the screen.]

Prince Greening Grandemalion of Lienid, Po, to my friends, at your service. I will completely forgive you if you have not heard of my little kingdom. I can say that this little item- a TAB- is quite foreign and unknown, although it does seem to be quite handy. But, I will be more than happy to tell you about mine, if you tell me about yours.

[That light dancing back in his eyes.]

Whether island, city, farmstead... Space ship? Do many people come from worlds with this means of travel?

[ She thinks about that and finds that she doesn't remember anyone telling her otherwise. ]

Would there be any other way to do it?

[ One must look ridiculous, of course; but it wouldn't matter how she looked if she could fly, with all the speed and thrill that came with it. ]

Try, but the best idea I've yet had is to jump off the highest cliff I can find and hope for the best.

Can you imagine a town full of people, flapping their arms like madmen? [ One person might not be terribly strange. But many—Katsa can't help but feel the urge to laugh picturing it. ] No—that can't be it, surely.

I'm not saying I'll do it. But I'd not be very successful jumping off an anthill.

[ Katsa suppresses a smile, though poorly. ]

It would be marvelous, though, wouldn't it? To know that you could fly, if you managed to hold your laughter at how preposterous it all looked long enough. [ She settles back, eyeing Po through her TAB. ] What would you suggest then, my lord scholarly prince?

Birds fly for hours, or days, more often than not.

[ Of course, those are birds and not humans, and they hadn't been fully serious about the whole thing; but Katsa does begin to wonder how possible such a thing might be.

She snorts a laugh. ]

I'm sure I'd sprout wings just to be contrary. [ The smile is in her eyes. She's teasing, herself the target as much as Po. ] Perhaps they use drafts. It would certainly be a quicker means to descend from the hills during long travel. Have you never tried it in Lienid, from your mountain cities? Maybe you should. Alongside all the ropes.

Yes. Well. That could be worried about later, after the way down is figured out.

[ One step at a time! Katsa envisions it, the feeling of falling such a distance with full confidence in her landing, wind stinging her cheeks. Such a feeling, and the sights on the way down—yes, she thinks she'd like that very much in fact.

She misses the feeling of exciting new sights, when she thinks about it. And the feeling of hanging over the bow of a ship as it tosses, or views of the mountains and seas from high above. Katsa sighs. ]

Po. I've been thinking. I'm not interested in sitting on my hands, waiting to be carted back to the Middluns whenever whatever strange power brought us here decides to send us back.

[ This is an absurdly obvious statement in itself, but there's clearly more to it that she's still working out what to say. ]

[ Her mouth twitches. ]

Yes. I wish—well, I don't really know what it is exactly I wish, but I'll not wither away here until I'm wrinkled. Surely those native to this world might know something about what brought us here. Or there were disembodied hearts thrown on our doorsteps not long after I arrived, with no apparent source or explanation. And—

[ She's pacing now. ]

And I hear the weather on that other world—they call it a planet?—is harsh, and unpredictable, and would that not be the sort of place to hide secrets if you had them?

[ She waves a hand, still pacing. ]

I've my blades. Clothes are easy enough to come by, and food can be found. [ These are all the necessary supplies, right? ] As far as transport—

[ She stops now and frowns. ]

I believe it can be easily arranged to get there. Though I—mislike this world's methods.

[ It's tempting, admittedly. Talking about it makes her all the more impatient to do it. Katsa flops backwards onto a chair, holding her TAB closer to her face. ]

The people there survive somehow.

[ But he's making a point. She's entirely unfamiliar with what's even there. Of course that only makes the thought of going even more exciting, but perhaps she ought to be at least a little aware of what to expect. Her statement is a little less forceful than her previous ranting.

Then, with some pause. ]

...You would go there with me?

[ It occurs to her that she hasn't asked. ]

I would protect you.

[ This is immediate, automatic. It's a rebuttal, but more than that Katsa simply means it to encompass everything, to her very core. For what would her Grace be any use, if not this—and though she would use every advantage it provides, even without it she would do everything within and beyond her power to protect him.

And as serious as she is, it still warms her to hear him laugh like this. ]

You're only lucky it isn't horses we'll use to travel, or I'd not even need to try.

[ She does well know how true that is, both of him and now of herself as well. There is no shame in accepting help from a friend; he had helped her understand that. She would not be too proud to thank him for any protection he might give, either.

Katsa responds to neither of his claims, acceptance of both implicit in her silence, though she doesn't ignore him. ]

I'll see what I can learn of the other planet. As soon as I know a little of the travel there, if you're ready, we can go.
