Whoa! [Hunk laughs] Holographic interface, awesome! This is way better than possessed mermaid planet tech. A little creepier, though. Uh, no offense. Just.. you know. Being teleported away from people I was standing right next to without being asked is a little rude where I come from.

On the up side, really digging the local food options so far. Tons better than space goo, not that I don't hold a respect for nutritionally dense jello with an oatmeal-like consistency. Here's to hoping it isn't gonna make me start chanting about how safe and warm I am.

And hey, speaking of, fingers crossed that I got tossed into here with my buddies. Anyone seen any other paladins of Voltron laying around? Well, hopefully not laying around. Hopefully, you know, standing. Like healthy non-injured people, which they mostly were like five seconds ago.

What? No, I mean -- did they get separated? Shiro did forget a few things, but...?

[She's looking around, and sighs. Looking around the house now, to see if he's in and she just didn't notice.] You may be right about that. Wait, let me send you the address -- if he comes by before you get here, I'll tell him to stay put.

Separated? [Oh yeah, Allura wasn't in the lion, she might not know.] After that last fight we all went in to check out the black lion. Shiro'd vanished. As in gone gone. His bayard was still plugged in and everything. But you're saying he forgot what happened?

Hey, thanks. [He grins again] They said I didn't have to stick around, so I'll head by in a couple minutes to check stuff out.

That... isn't right. At all. He might have vanished when he was pulled out by the Ingress, along with myself and Pidge, but -- where did his bayard come from?

[Hang on, she found a note. She's going to skim it while she keeps talking]

He hadn't remembered the fight with Zarkon at all, nor that I had already been rescued by the--WHY IS HE IN THE HOSPITAL?!!

[Hey, guess who just learned that Shiro was hurt?]

He got it back, remember? After he had his spirit battle or whatever with Zarkon for control of it. Man, he just got it back too. You'd think this place would have the decency of letting him land here with it at least.

Yeah, I just found out too. He's sending me really ... uh, weird text messages. They've got him on some pretty serious drugs, so at least that means he's actually resting.

If that's what it takes to make him stay in bed while he's healing... [allura no that is probably not the point of the drugs]

[But anyway, now that the mystery of Shiro is solved --] What spirit battle with Zarkon? From what I saw, their battle was completely in the flesh!

[I mean yeah there are other uses Allura but he guesses that isn't super important right now.]

No no, I mean after he found out that Zarkon used to pilot the Black Lion. That was ... kind of a big thing for you to forget about. Are you alright?

So, he did guess that from fighting him. [It's not really disappointed, or even surprised. When Zarkon showed up with the bayard, it was a bit of a huge giveaway.]

[But, on the other hand.]

Shiro doesn't remember that now, though. The last thing he remembers is when I was kidnapped. He still doesn't realize how much he's missed.

Not the first time. It was way after that, when the Galra were chasing us around the galaxy for awhile.

[Hunk's eyebrows shoot up at that.] Oh, wow. So he's.. in our past? That's pretty freaky actually.

When the Galra were -- chasing us?! When did that happen?! Where was I?!!

[Speaking of being in the past.]

On .. the ship? Helping us zoom away very quickly?

[A slow blink. Then Hunk's face manages to both fall and light up in alarm simulatneously.]

Oh no. Am I--- are you in my past?

I don't think so, but...

It's not as if Shiro realized he was missing an entire battle from his memory, too. [She suddenly looks very unhappy with where this conversation is headed.]

Look. The last thing I remember was entering the destabilized wormhole, while we were retreating from Zarkon. We went in there, and we emerged from the Ingress. Then, we were aboard a ship called the Moira.

This is where I've been, for months.

[Hunk is closing his eyes now. He's also rubbing at his temples.]

Okay, okay. So. That happened, yeah. Then me and Lance got dumped on that weird mermaid world, and then we were being tracked by Zarkon, and then I became a real chef for like a whole day, and then we found out about Keith and the whole Blades of Marmora thing and we got all our awesome allies together and built a huge weapon to fight the Galra with.

Any of that ringing a bell? Because I definitely saw you within like, the last twenty four hours. And it'd be really cool if I wasn't hallucinating.

I'm sorry, Hunk. I don't remember anything about blades of mermaids, or anything like that.

The only part that sounds familiar is you being a chef... assuming that was aboard our ship? [She half-smiles, but it's not hopeful. If it was anything like that, he probably wouldn't have brought it up.]

Oh man. Okay. If you don't remember that then I'm definitely from your future because you were mad about it for a pretty long time. It's not stuff you'd just forget.

[He gives her a little smile to let her know the gesture is appreciated.] Heh. Always. We went to this big space mall and I got to be a chef at a restaurant for a day. It was pretty cool.

That just raises more questions. [... IS LIKE THE THEME OF THIS CONVERSATION.] Why would I be mad about mermaids?

That sounds like fun, at least. What were we all shopping for?

Uh, not the mermaid. Pretty sure you didn't care about the mermaids. The Blades of Marmora though was because Keith-- wait, is this one of those things I probably shouldn't tell you? Am I gonna make an accidental space taco out of this? Because I really don't want to mess up time any more than I'm already doing by existing here.

We needed teledove lenses, Coran said it was the best place to find 'em. Or only place. One of those.

What?! But --- you can't stop telling me there! What happened? Is Keith safe?

[She sounds so worried. So sympathetic. No conflicting feelings whatsoever.]

[And then, the tension drops a bit into a flat disappointment:] ... oh. I suppose the ship did go for a long time without any new parts.

He's fine, he's fine! He's just-- he's--

Augh. I suck at peer pressure. Or Princess pressure. Okay, okay, fine. But you have to promise me you won't flip out. Everyone's safe, I promise.

Of course. I swear that I am not going to flip out.

[She is definitely going to flip out.]

Please, Hunk. Tell me what happened with Keith?

Okay.

[He takes a deep breath.] So the Blades of Marmora are a group of rebel Galra that are fighting against Zarkon and they're kind of weird but also our allies and not enemies and Keith went chasing after them because of this symbol on a knife he apparently has that matches the symbol that the Blades of Marmora use and he got the knife to do fancy stuff and apparently that means he has Galra blood in him.

[patchricide]

... what?!

Hunk, I think you lost me somewhere back at "a group of rebel Galra"! Since when have there been rebel Galra?! I don't even--

Look-- just-- can you start over, please? And take it a little slower this time? I'm sure that I misheard some of that.

[Hunk is so uncomfortable with this conversation. So uncomfortable.]

Since forever, apparently? Like, thousands of years. They're the ones who helped Shiro escape when the bad guy Galra kidnapped him.

Shiro's memory started to return, then?

[She looks more worried about that than relieved. As much as she shouldn't want him to be amnesia-prone... it had actually been beneficial that he hadn't recalled details of the last battle before the warp.]

How did we find this kind of group? [She really didn't catch all the stuff about Keith. Her brain overloaded before Keith's name came up.]

Yeeeah. Including the bit about, uh. The black lion's last pilot.

[Awkward.]

One of the guys who saved Shiro showed up. Keith and Shiro went to investigate their colony after he showed us where it was, and it kinda snowballed from there.

[patchricide]

So that did come up... [Slow exhale. Awkward is the word.] He doesn't recall that now, however. And it might be for the best, given that he's been separated from his lion -- I wouldn't want him to worry over it.

[She pauses, before quickly asking:] Your lion didn't happen to come with you, did it?

[And then it's right to talking about the Galra.] 'Snowballed'? What did they do...?
