For the many of you I haven't yet met: hi, I'm Natasha Romanoff.

I've been here for a few weeks now, and I know we have a lot going on right now, and probably more of us are - rightfully - antsy and-slash-or pissed, but I have a simple inquiry for everyone today: I could use a sparring partner or ten. Anyone else? Whether you want to blow off some steam about our current situation, or you just want to keep skills sharp, or so on.

Interested parties are free to contact me now, or later. I'll be around, obviously.

[She's not even adding a disclaimer that she's not superpowered, and/or that she only wants responders who are also not superpowered -- she can be a decent match for many with superpowers. Certainly not all the time (she has very fresh memories of being telekinetically tossed several feet and against a truck back home, and she lived, so it's fine ok), though. But she'll take her chances -- that's part of the challenge.]

Some. In the sense that it's not my go-to weapon, but it's one I know how to use. More practice with it would probably do me some good, anyway.

Honestly? Dealer's choice. I'm a blacksmith by trade but I make it a personal principle to be able to competently use any weapon I can forge.

And I can forge a lot.

But I'm no slouch when it comes to hand-to-hand either. So, I'm game for anything you're not comfortable with.

[ Pepper had heard through the grapevine Natasha was stuck here as well, but she hasn't yet actually managed to catch a glimpse of the redhead so far. She's not entirely certain where she stands with the agent, considering they last had anything to do with one another when the russian was masquerading as Natalie Rushman -- and that had been ages ago, or at least so it seems.

Pepper isn't much for sparring, but that doesn't stop her from reaching out regardless, a small smile on her lips as she addresses the other woman. ]

I could say the same. [She offers Pepper a smile.] Seems like people from our world are quite popular here, as there's more than a few of us already.

What sort of sparring are you searching for? Hand-to-hand, weapons, magical powers?

I can work with a lot. Hand to hand and weapons are the standard. I don't have magical abilities myself, but I'm still willing to work with those with them. So, I suppose it's more what you'd like to work on if you're interested.

I think you're right about it being on a lot of minds. In fact, I was just talking to one of my paladins about training not too long ago.

Are you planning on taking on all comers?

At the very least, as many as I can with time. It offers a variety, and hopefully I could offer the same. [She doesn't want to get too used to a few things. She'd rather be kept on her toes.]

I'm trained in several kinds of combat...different types of physical and hand-to-hand and...well, I'm a swordsman as well, but I'd need to get used to a different type of weapon....ours are a bit...complicated. I'm willing to help out, though.

I do have...well...abilities...but I'm comfortable not using them if it's better for you. If it makes it more even.

[He's used to fighting with the Force, and doesn't know she can probably take on at least some degree of Force use. But, he's also familiar holding back and fighting without it to keep himself in shape. As for the sword, like most Jedi, he doesn't trust anyone who isn't a Jedi or in training to be one with a lightsaber. It takes a Force-user just to properly control them, and they're too dangerous in the wrong hands. But, he's willing to practice with non-lightsaber swords. He often starts his students with things like quarterstaves anyway, to give them a feel for combat with weapons before moving onto training sabers and actual lightsabers.]

We could always do both - swords and hand to hand.

What do you mean by complicated? [in the question, there's genuine curiosity.

She probably wouldn't know what to do with a lightsaber anyway. Good thing she's not force sensitive.]
