[Miller waits until most of the investigation of floor two seems to have concluded. That way he won't be interfering with much with the request. But he feels that it must be made.]
Both for health reasons and as a gesture of respect, I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to help cremate the remains. Individual or mass graves aren't really options we have time for, and I think they shouldn't just be left here.
[This place shouldn't be their tomb.]
If someone else comes in search of them, we can leave an account of finding them as well as whatever identification cards they had on them.

I'd rather not leave them around to rot.

It's understandable. Where are you thinking of doing it? In situ?

[This isn't their fault, it's not their men, but it still brings up some unpleasant thoughts.]
It might not be in accordance to some of their burial customs but I'm pretty sure rotting away in a science facility wouldn't have been either.

It may also be possible for someone with special abilities to create a marker of some kind, but I'm really not sure... I don't know what everyone can do. Some people prefer to keep it to themselves as much as they can.

[Bye bye Moira.]
That or someone with technological expertise. We don't know how sturdy the building is. It could have been made to endure Ingress related accidents of dramatic proportions. So I would say cremation, facility if possible, and an accessible account of our findings along with their IDs.
I can't imagine there's not someone out there who won't look for years. [He knows that he absolutely would.] They would deserve answers.

Someone else just mentioned a Pac-disk. That's not a bad idea, but it may be that we could simply bury it without needing to attempt a pyre. Only I'm not completely sure it's not the equivalent of leaving the bodies in cardboard boxes, which is only moderately better than their current state.

I'm worried about the people that were on those settlements now. What happened to them.

[Their continued inability to affect their situation is wearing on him. It's starting to remind him of home, just without Ocelot constantly reminding him of his inferiority.]

Still, I'm interested in knowing what got to them and why, and how much we need to worry about it. Probably not that much, given the state of decay, but you never know. If a room has a working Ingress in it, and some of them certainly still may, it can never qualify as a secure area.

Obviously we know why their stations were abandoned now. They didn't have defenses prepared for anything like what hit them. Which seems strange, considering that they were dealing with an Ingress, and we've seen what can come out of those. Maybe they didn't know, nothing like that had happened yet. But with experimental technology, the thread of possible industrial espionage, it feels like something should have been strong enough to get past some strong defenses.
