[He's be helping where he can so he's obvious dirty and his hair is more than a little unkempt but he's making an effort to look his best right now.]

My name is Charles Xavier, I hope everyone is alright or on their way to a full recovery. With the crash and our impending trip to the center of the Hub, I realize a number of groups will form and make their way on their own.

I am a mutant, I run Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. As such, I would ask that other mutants, other gifted individuals- especially those still mastering their abilities- stay with me. It would ease my mind to know others are safe and that we would be able to use this situation to help grow any abilities you wish to master.

[Fatima hesitates for a moment. And then shakes her head. What's to hesitate about? She doesn't have secrets any more. She gave those up in exchange for her one-way ticket into the multiverse.

I grew up in a place like that. I mean, it wasn't an "official" school, I still had to go to high school and all that stuff but...

Well, the people there were definitely "gifted."

[Heh.]

Thankfully, we cover important subjects they would teach in high school as well. So my students have only had to attend my own school.

Sounds like a better deal. High school sucked.

[She pauses.]

Oh. Right. I should explain.

Um, my name's Fatima. That's pretty much like having a target painted on your ass, where I come from.

I recall it, thought it was some time ago for me.

It's a pleasure to meet you, Fatima. Thankfully, you won't worry about that with me and even if you choose not to stay with us, you can count on me if you ever need help.

What exactly would staying with you...mean?

I know most people hide what they are, I'm not sure if you do I would hate to assume, but you wouldn't have to with us. We'd likely train, seeing how well we can all meld our abilities together. We'd all understand any difficulties, we've all been outcasts at some point.

What sort of...abilities?

I mean, the word "mutant" could mean a lot of things and...

[She laughs.]

I mean, it only really exists in my world in bad B movies about giant ink blobs devouring Tokyo.

Mine, for example, is telepathy. It extends a bit beyond that but it's simplest to say that. Another of us is able to accelerate his cells, his entire body, to the point that he can move as if time doesn't exist. A friend of mine has claws made of bone.

There's an infinite amount of mutations possible.

Sounds...complicated.

[But it's not her first rodeo with telepaths, so she just has to ask...]

What's your range?

I never really tried, a mile or so, maybe. I can cover the entire world when I have use of Cerebro.

I could try but I do try not to pry into the minds of anyone here.
