[The white-haired man peering out of the screen at you has a faintly dubious expression on what you can see of his face, like he wasn't actually sure this would work.]

Uh... hey. [A slight pause, like he's not sure what to say.] I'm not used to talking for this kind of thing... I guess... I'm new here? The name's Ginko. Looks like I'm stuck here with the rest of you for a while, so I'd really like to get to know as many people as possible.

I've been assigned to be one of your medics. Hopefully I won't meet too many people because of that, though.

[But if this is the kind of place he thinks it is, he doesn't have his hopes up about that.

Another, smaller hesitation.]

Ah... if anyone here recognizes the name Edensphere... I'd definitely like to meet you. You might know me as Cloud, in that case.

[He kind of nods to the screen, and cuts the feed.]

Ginko!

[ The surprise on the blonde woman's face is upfront, but she seems to reign herself back in and gold lashes flutter with a few blinks as if to dissuade a hallucination, brows drawing up into something apologetic.

Well now. Her Ginko's been growing, certainly, but not near this much— it's clear rather immediately that this is... not the boy she knows. He's comfortable with himself and he speaks easily, drawling on in an easy tone that could likely relax anyone he addresses; a medical position was a good choice for this man. ]

...Though I don't suppose I should address you so casually, I apologize. There is another Ginko aboard the ship and you resemble him. I'm Angela Ziegler, one of the physicians working in medbay as well. Do you have any previous experience in the medical field?
cadeuces: (I want you so bad)

LAUGHS SOFTLY... POOR GINKO

[ Look, she tried to explain the familiarity, at least. If there had been an older Ginko aboard the ship before, it would be news to her. She's only been here for a few months herself. ]

I see; that is helpful then. I'm a bit of a jack-of-all-trades myself, so if there is ever anything I can assist you with, I'd be more than happy to help. I'm primarily a surgeon but I've done a lot of general care and rehabilitation, as well as work as a field medic.

I think you'll find formal training is in no shortage around here; we have plenty of specialists.

I absolutely agree. [ Said with a smile, something warm and patient that gives a good nod to her general demeanor, as a doctor, a teacher, or otherwise. ] Hmm, let's see.

I do cybernetics and prosthetics with the followup rehabilitation primarily, there's a hypnotherapist, there are a lot of robots and artificial intelligences housed in cybernetic bodies, so there's a specialist for them— a pediatrician, a couple of counselors, a couple of field medics. We have a technician as well for technology upkeep.

I'm not sure about the rest; I haven't been terribly acquainted.

We're well-covered, in any case. There is never such a thing as too many doctors.

If you're interested in them, then you'll find it beneficial to speak with Ratchet; he's often around the medbay as well, and he is one of the robots present. I haven't seen many of the others about, really. I believe it would count more along the lines of engineering or cybernetics for us, so mechanical skills would be beneficial.
cadeuces: (tell me where is that taking me?)

You're most welcome. If there's anything else I can assist you with, please let me know. I'll be seeing you around regardless I'm sure, so it was nice to have the chance to meet you.
