[First there was the fact that he even woke up alive. Not to mention in one piece. Then the contract thrust at him by people he didn't know. But the final straw was what felt like an insult on top of everything.

Sanitation duties. He had enough of having to do the crappiest jobs before the war, for the Council. He refuses to be treated like that, and forced to do the same again now. For a crew he doesn't know at all.

So it's with that, that he addresses the network. Looking none too pleased. Not that he ever looks that pleased. He's not big on the idea of using this device, but he's insulted enough to use it this once.]

I may be stuck on this ship, but I will not be cleaning up your messes while I'm here. [His long tail can be seen flicking in the background of the video.]

I am not a waste disposal unit. You can clean up your own messes.

[And with that, he turns off the feed. Screw you all, and your so called jobs.]

((OOC: I am okay with the TDM thread being canon already if people wish.))

[She pauses, genuinely taken aside.] ... I beg your pardon? No, that's not what I meant in the slightest. [And then, with a more sympathetic note:] Is that a concern of yours?

But the Lions I speak of are certainly not mere machines. They are our sacred guardians! And their pilots are trusted partners, of their own choosing.

If it helps, not all my encounters with organics have gone well, either. [Go ahead, ask her about the Galra sometime.] We aren't all like that, though.

But yes, the lions choose their pilots. Some can be extremely picky about it, in fact. The Red Lion, for example, is notoriously temperamental.

I have. ... well, not for years, personally, unless cryosleep counts.

But on the other hand, I know of those who have suffered far more than myself. I have seen entire planets enslaved. Even one of our own Paladins was a long-term prisoner of the enemy we fight -- and he has arrived with me, in fact, if you should ever want to meet him for yourself.

[By which she means she is absolutely going to introduce you two unless the mystical power of black cats makes you two end up meeting anyway.]

They are, although they aren't capable of speaking directly. They have to communicate with their pilot in other ways.
